Re: MN, how many here?
Welcome c4ta!
This is a good board for all kinds of info.
I just met 89ROC-Z yesterday, and I can already tell this is gonna be a good relationship.
The way I figure, the more Fbody 3G'ers.. I know, the easier, happier my experience, and the less money I will spend on my ride.
And I hope, I can give that same thing to you all.
Kewl.

Re: MN, how many here?
Hey I'm from Oakdale, MN. Just recently bought an 89 GTA. It has some issues I'm trying to work out. I previously owned an 87 Formula and a 91 Firebird. Been out of the 3rd gen game for a while had a 97 GTP 2dr, now drive a 2000 GT 4dr with a few aftermarket goodies.

Re: MN, how many here?
Hey All!
I'm in Minneapolis. Just registered today.
I recently bought a 1988 Firebird with a 305 V8.
I found this site a few days ago while looking for info on how to replace an oil pressure switch and found the site very useful.
I'm a total newbie to Third Gen as well as actually getting my hands dirty underneath the hood, so I may ask a dumb question or two.
My 'Bird has a few issues to fix before I feel totally confident about it, she runs well - but the lights don't flip properly, so I bought a repair kit from TDs with the bushings and gaskets - hopefully that will work out.
has anyone tried this fix yet?

Re: MN, how many here?
Hey good to hear we have more people here. I'm in White bear lake area. My passenger headlight wouldn't flip up either without going through a small process, you don't need the kit. There are 2 adjusting bolts you can play with, and part of my headlight lip was catching so I just filed that off a bit. Feel free to pm me with any questions, all though I'm fairly new to thirdgen stuff I manage to get things to run with help.
Transmetal, where about in oakdale? We probably aren't much more than 15 minutes away.

Re: MN, how many here?
Yes, here's a link for the current info. >Link<
It may change due to the weather, but I'm fairly certain that won't happen. Some of us are meeting at Home Depot in Apple Valley at 11am and then are going to meet up in Hastings at noon.

Re: MN, how many here?
No problem, the more the merrier. Right now there's seven or so on the list, but last spring we had about 20 or so and I'm expecting more than seven especially since I'm not on the list.
It's an open invite so if you know anyone that might want to go let em know. The group includes all GM, but we usually have more F Body's than anything else. It'll probably be the last event of the season.

Thanks for coming! I enjoyed meeting all of you and hope everyone had a good time as well.
We may also be doing things during the winter like ProKart and other get togethers as they come up.

Re: MN, how many here?
Probably not the best place to post this but since we are all from MN I thought I would ask here. Do any of u guys know of places in the TC Metro area that will install rims that need spacers? I'm eyeing a set of black Vette wheels for the gta but Discount Tire doesn't install rims that need spacers. Not really sure who would do this, anybody have an ideas?

I've got 2 inch spacers (front only now) on mine from www.skulte.com. That's what you'll need as well on all 4 sides if you have the stock rear.
Next year lets organize a 3rd gen invasion at Porky's guys!
Mine is put away now.
