I'm from Vadnais Heights (about 10 miles north of St. Paul) but I'm going to school at St. Cloud. Have an 89 Trans Am, but it's bone stock right now. Plan on ripping it apart before spring.
Spyder, Do you ever got to any drag strips? I heard the good ones are in WI?

Not that I know of, there are several in WI though. There is a 1/8 miles only 30 minutes into WI so about 90 minutes (if you drive the speed limit) from Bloomington. Where abouts in bloomington do you live? (I live(ed) in bloomington for many years and still am there quite often)

How's everyone!? This is cool...I just stumbled in this forum, after seeing that it had "MN" in the description!
Well I wanted to let all of you know that I, with a few other people, are starting...well have actually started a MN F-Body club!
We've met once already and will be meeting again, February 20th. The location is still undecided, but I'll keep you updated.
UNTIL THEN...please check out our website: www.mnfbody.com We've got a lot of work to be done still, as it's very new, but check out our message board. It's a UBB just like this one.
Have fun...and keep in touch! When/if you register on the board let everyone know you were informed about it by me!
There's one called Grove Creek Raceway in Grove Creek, MN. It's located about an hour and a half west of the Twin Cities, on the way to Wilmar (if any of you know where that is).
They've got an 1/8th mile strip and a 3/4(?) mile oval dirt track.

Cool man, I know exactly where you lived...I live right by the High School in Trotters Ridge.
Did you know someone named Teri Moxley-Goldsmith? I think she graduated about that time...I never went there when you did (I graduated in '99) so I probably have no idea who you are, but hope you can make it to a meeting when you get back in the states.
Take 'er easy,
Erik

Just so you guys know, the next meeing is February 20th, in Bloomington. The specifics are still being decided as to what we are going to be doing exactly, but the date is set.
It would be awesome if some of you guys could show up.
I can't say that I met her. I moved to wisco about 5 years ago. I actually lived about 3-5 miles north of medicine lake, and about 1-1.5 miles north west of schmitt lake. I would have gone to armstrong. man plymouth rocked.
But as soon as I am out of college I will be back in the twin cities raising heck with all of the mustangs and killing the imports.
see you later

I live just North of Minneapolis. Just a small marketing tip for all Minnesota Camaro owners...Check out your local Camaro club at www.northstarcamaroclub.com. The club has grown considerably since Oct. We recently signed over 35 new members just from the World of Wheels show in St. Paul. We are trying to get SuperChevy into brainerd and also The Worldwide Camaro Club to hold a sanctioned event here in MN. This year will be great with Cruises, shows and gatherings.

If you own a Camaro, there's no reason a person can't join both. I don't know if things have changed with MN Fbodies as far as membership and dues, but I am a member/officer of Northstar Camaro Club and also joined mnfbodies when you started up. I just have been too busy to do things with mnfbodies. Hopefully this summer I can meet some of the guys at some shows. I will be at one hopefully Sunday at Friendly Chevy in Fridley and also Wed and Sun next week at Embers in Brooklyn Center.
Well, Scott, I never said he couldn't join both. Actually, I think it's a great idea. But I was just confused as to which one he intended on. Join both. From what I hear, your club is nice. I like to think that ours is too.
I hope to see you guys at a MN F-Body meeting this summer.
I have no idea which club I will be joining I have yet to decide. Which is better?
I am sure that I will probably join both because I love cars but do not know that much about the internals so I will need all the help that I can get. I will move up there and talk to some of you members and see what is up that cool? I have only about 2 1/2 weeks and I will be up there with car in tow.

camss30, I like the looks of your IROC. I want my next car to be a 97 SS Convertible Anniversary Edition like yours. I just need to convince the wife that my car hobby isn't really that expensive!!
Well all I have finally made it up here with my IROC in tow. I am broke as a joke right now so I wont be able to join and pay the dues for a while till I get a job and regular pay check. I will keep in touch with all of you and look forward to meeting as many as I can.
Greetings, I’m a fellow winter widower, as the Z gets the big nap in the garage for a number of months, and hopefully a number of Mods.
I'm located in the Twin Cities metro area and am always looking to share secrets with fellow enthusiasts.
I also enjoy riding my motorcycle and carving some pavement on two wheels as well as four. Drop me a line and we'll get some beers somewhere.
