Hey Twin Turbo,
You wouldnt happen to be racing down 231 on the weekends lmao. I used to race down there about 20 yrs ago. Then the Police started coming down on us.

I used to race there, probably before you were born. Police werent to bad then. They knew we were doing it but just turned there heads the other way. 231 wasnt as crowded as today too.

yeah that so true... especialy during the summer... ive seen so many accidents by the first light b4 the ss exit ramps.... later on during the night the cops lay back and the smart racers are around... like i said we take our races where it is safe.... both from danger and cops alike... too many teenie boopers/ricers are crusing the ave now... they are all jackasses and barely know how to drive

Wow NY still has teenie boppers. Actually the are kids with big boy toys that they shouldnt have. Edison ave used to be a good place right by the Town of Babylon landfil quiet at night not to much trouble with traffic. New Hiway by Republic Airport used to be another favorite, its to busy now. Is Riverhead raceway still open? I cried when they closed Islip. That really sucked and forced alot of people to street race

yeah riverhead raceway is still open, and so is west hampon 1/4 mile for the moment. riverhead raceway is having problems with the sound and nieghbors. west hampton 1/4 mile isn't making enough money, no body really goes there. west hamn is nice cause theres no problem with sound cause the only thing that is arond is the police shooting range.

Hey radiateu2, I see you knew of some of the "real" race spots. Naming of the spots is usually a no no but since you brought it up. NH sucks but I did see a race there a few years back. The other spot's not like it used to be. There's really no more hanging out there watching the $$ races go off. There's no hanging out at the spots. That's really what killed it aside from the RiCerS.
Long Island Motorsports Park or as it's sometimes called, "Long Island Draghole" is still open though every other day they say it's going to be sold. I think the deal fell through but it' still not too good. Alot of people who live close by want that place shut down. You can check out there site if you want at:

I neverhave ran it on a track There isnt one for several hours away. I suspect I am in the 14's with my mods. It will get better once I install the posi. Wish I had a track here. All I know for now is I have a serious traction problem without it and it must be hurting me. Right now I can light the tires up in all 4 gears. Lots of torque. Man I miss NY sometimes!!!! You guys are lucky all those bone yards there. I have 2 here and no Camaros to be had.

Hey I guess I missed that post on the baddest 305. I would be interested in seeing it if you can post it. 305 can make power. Its not as cheap as a 350 though. I couldnt find a 350 here for less than 600 and it had to be rebuilt.

Honestly guys I think the ave will be very wet tonight from melting snow, maybe have patches of ice if its cold enough. Something to think about.
