You'll find a few thirdgen owners hanging out on Thompson Blvd at the dunkin Donuts parking lot on friday and saturday nights. Also watch for posts for road trips to Rochester for some racing.

I'm up in Watertown for the time being. I'll be down to play saturday night I think

As Jay say's alot of thirdgens hang out there. I also do, to my knowledge there was one in the area but I haven't heard about it in a long time. Maybe we should start one.

Sorry guys, I started this thread and didn't have a chance to reply.

Hate to say it, I always feel somewhat intimidated and never pull in the parking lot... I love my car, but I just feel like it isn't really up to par (damn LO3). I do cruise by there on the weekends sometime, but I never really stop. I'll make it a point to stop next time that I am down there.

Not this weekend, going camping, maybe next Friday.

What do you all have?

I have a white 89 RS, t-tops, with the air induction cowl from an 81 Z28. Working on trying to get my steering, brakes, and suspension in check for now.

Hey guys, good to hear about other thirdgenners in Syracuse! I've been wondering about a club for some time now. As you can see in my sig I have an '85. My brother in law has a '85 Iroc. Has anyone tried to organize? Just curious.Maybe we'll stop by sometime. Later

I have a 87 Black Iroc and I hang out on the Blvd and Thomson Rd. You can alway find me at Home Depot on Rt 11 every Wednesday night, they have a car show there. My car also has a a huge cowl hood and a 92 spoiler on it. My bra on the car has Iroc-Z in white on the front. If you want to see my car go to Fl-thirdgen.org, I am member number 70. Go to the WWW and you will see my car. My e-mail is cgailor@twcny.rr.com Maybe we can get togather and get to know each other. It makes no difference what condition what your thirdgen is in, we have all been there. To my knowledge there is no club in the area. Ok guys lets try and see if we can form a club in the area, I would love to.

I have to get out once and a while.

Nice ride.

Don't know if I will be around this weekend or not... was going camping, now it looks like I am replacing the fuel pump in my Explorer (damn ford). If I am around and its not raining, I will get down to Thompson on Friday.

I leave the house around 9:30. I go to McDonald's first to see who is out on the Blvd. Then I go to Thomson Rd and hang out for awhile. Hope to see you guys there. I go Friday and Saturday night.

Well I was there until about 11:30. I was parked right in front of Duncan Donuts. Sorry if I missed you. My cell is 575-1159, maybe we can hook up tomorrow night. I have a show that I may go to on Sunday, if I do I will be detailing the car for it Saturday night. If I don't go I may be out playing. I also hang out at TocoBell on the Blvd, my oldest son's car club hang out there. His club is a VW one. I am like a fish out of water when I park with them, but they all know me as Mom. Well maybe tomorrow.

That was your car! I was standing right by it :-) I didn't recognize it from the pics. I didn't see the second set of pics with the louvers and the wing. Nice ride!

Tomorrow I will be at the Krockathon... even if I were to get home at a decent hour I will be in no shape to go anywhere! Perhaps the weather will be with us next weekend.

Sometime this week I will get my wife to dig up her digital camera so I can take some pictures.

Well it looks like this Friday night will be a wash out. I am leaving for Jersey on Sunday so Saturday night I will be a good girl and stay home. I will be in Jersey for a week, visiting friends and family. But look for me the Friday night after Labor Day. I don't put the car up until I have to, besides it runs great in the real cool weather. Well be good everyone and when I get back maybe we can set a date up for all of us to get togather and talk about starting a club.

Have fun in NJ.

I don't stop driving until the snow falls... always runs great in the snow. Might stop driving a little early this year so I can get it to a bodyshop for some rust repair to tie me over until I can get a complete paint job (power before beauty... L98 first).

I have a set of chrome valve covers sitting in the garage waiting to be put on. One has to take the top of the engine apart to do it so at that time I am going to have it port and polished. I also hope to put headers on it over the winter too. Yes this year will be alot of engine work. I also think I am going to have the rear window louvers painted to match the car. Lots of little things to do. I am leaving Sunday for Jersey, so I will see you guys when I get back.

Yes, the TPI system gets in the way of everything! Header were the best thing that I did to my car, huge difference.

I just ordered a wonderbar and some SFC's, TDS has a group purchase for $200. Hopefully my quick ratio steering gearbox will be here soon and I have a set of WS6 swaybars and springs lined up. Doing the under car stuff so I will be all set to drop in a L98.

Hey Spatter I am a member of Northeast also, I am under BlackIrochris. I met Red and some of the other members when they stopped here in Syracuse to say hello to Jason Turcotte who is from Watertown. They are from Southern Jersey, Toms River. I haven't spent much time there as of yet, but I intend to. Maybe next year we can take a weekend run down there, it is about a 6 hour drive from here. I grew up in Jersey. Well got to run, be good while I am gone.

I was thinking about pointing him in the direction of NEThirdgen, but they have so few members up this way (6 total) that I didnt' think he would be too interested.

Yea, I don't care for the imports... some of them are impressively quick, though.

The weekend will be here soon and we are running out of weekends before the snow falls... hopefully the weather will be with us. I will try to make it down to Thompson on Friday.

Hey guys, so is Thompson rd the official place? It sounds like a lot of us end up there. Is friday or Saturday better? I would be willing to help get some sort of club going. It doesn't have to be too organized yet. Let's see who's interested. Weather permitting i'll try to be in the area tomorrow night. later.

Well I can see you guys have been busy. By the way either night is fine at Thomson Road. It is at the Duncan Donuts or across the street at the car wash. The car wash is where the true street cars hang out. I hang out at either one. If you guys want to start a car club this is not the place to try to get togather at. We can try to get togather at one of the car meets during the week. Wednesday night is at Home Depot in Cicero on Rt 11, Thursday night is the Regional Market in Syracuse or Slyen Beach. Or we can pick a mall also. I will be out on Friday and Saturday night, just look for a Black Iroc with a spoiler and a bra that has Iroc-Z written in white on the front of it. I am 5ft 3in. and have blonde hair and female. I normally have my 11 year old son with me too. So now the secet is out, I am 52 also. I think I am the only mom that gets car parts for Christmas, birthdays and so on. Well got to run, by the way Jersey was great last week. See ya this weekend.

Irocchris seems to know where to hang out. She seems to know a thing or two about car clubs. And, damnit, we need more women in this world that can appreciate a nice machine. :yourock:

I will try again this week if the weather is with us. Anyone else for Friday? Depending on how busy I am between school and work, I will also try for Cicero on Wednesday.

Seeing as Irochris started out with the descriptions:
I am 30, black hair, 6'6", 250lbs and can frequently be found attached to my white 89RS (picture above in a previous post)... oh and my name is Sean.

I was down this past saturday, but only for about an hour or so.

I will be down next saturday night for giggles. The cooler weather is keeping a lot of people inside already.

BTW, racing at www.nyirp.com friday night Forecast is for temps in the upper 50's... perfect

I love this time of year, the car runs great. So the leather jacket and the driving gloves get put in the back seat. Looks like it may rain tomorrow night so Home Depot may be a wash out. Friday and Saturday night are looking good. I have to clean up the car alittle from the trip down Jersey. I wanted to wash it but so much for that idea, I guess I will just detail it off for now. Well hope to see ya at Thompson Rd. We have decide on a place to meet about starting a car club, give it some thought and we will go from there.

Yep, this weather in miserable... seeing as the roads are wet, the car will stay in the garage tonight. If my LO3 with skinny tires won't hook up on a wet road, I really feel for you folks with the 5.7 and fat tires can handle it.

Denny's may be a good place to meet sometime. It works well for my school projects and they don't seem to mind as long as you order coffee or something.

Are you talking about the one on the Blvd?? Tomorrow night looks like its going to be ok, so I am going to head out to the Regional Market for a while. I have a car show on Sunday that I promised to be at. Again I will be out over the weekend too.

There is the Denny's on the Blvd, Carrier Circle, and several others in town that are centerally located.

The roads have dried up now...

I think the one on the Blvd is the best spot. They are forecasting more rain for tonight and earily tomorrow morning, mine is staying in the garage for now. My fat tires and 5.7 don't like the rain either.

Irochris, I don't think that you missed anything. I did spin by the regional market around 7:30, then went and paid almost $2.00 a gallon for gas (damn Hypertech chip), and drove back by it at 8:00 and it seemed dead.

Edit: DUH... I feel stupid. Today is Wednesday, not Thursday... guess I can't wait for the weekend to get here. It was great to take it for a spin, haven't REALLY had a chance to drive it in a couple of weeks.

How about the rest of you who are interested in starting a club, does Denny's on Erie work for you?
