I'm in Malletts Bay. The Lake is practically my front yard. I have a 104 year old Great Grandmother in Springfield!

I'm up in Colchester, and just drove my camaro around Malletts Bay yesterday. I use to have a red 84 z28 but recently sold it and got a red 91 z28 with black heritage stripes. The new car is pretty nice but has badly oxidized paint on the hood and roof. I have seen quite a few nice thirdgens in the Burlington area this year. There is another red 91-92z with an ss hood, a couple nice formulas and firebirds, and a couple nice irocs that I see driving around quite often. Do you know if there are any cruise in spots in the area? It just seems like there are alot of nice cars up here, but no cruise-ins or shows in general.
I will try to get a picture of the new car and post it up on this thread.

If I ever get mine put back together and on the road again, I know of a few places to watch the sunset from... Overlook park on Spear St. is a good place to start... It's not bad from my front yard, either...
Cruising up through the Islands is a nice ride as well...

Here is a picture of my z28. I swapped my centerline matrix wheels onto it already. I have alot of suspension stuff, and a banks exhaust ready to go on. I was out the other day and spotted a really nice black formula, and another red 91-92 z28.

I'm over here in Lyndonville, just north of Saint Johnsbury.
I believe there are 4 3rd Gen Formulas in the area, and quite a few really nice Camaros.
My TPI is coming out next week, so I won't be cruisin' over towards Burlington way for a while. The LS1 is going in, but I hope to have it back on the road by August.

Nazzz, yep that's the guy. Can't remember his name though. I've been to his house over in the North End 2 summers ago. I told him about this site and didn't know if he joined or not.
Just got the car registered and insured today. Inspection later this afternoon before it rains for the next 11 days...
Where are you in Colchester? I'm in the bay off E. Lakeshore where the lake is my front yard...
Somebody should put together a BBQ at Bayside...

No kidding. My wife went to St. Mikes. Spent many a weekend there. Ahh, the good old days...
I have the midnight blue special edition. You will only see it out on sunny days. The car has never seen snow and no rain in the last 8 years. I wash it once a year wether it needs it or not...
I have friends over near the big steepled church in Winooski. If I'm in the area, you'll hear me coming...

Hi, I would love to get together somewhere. Everyone here plan a time...the Stowe Antique Car show is coming up, maybee we can cruise up to Munchies in Morrisville and take it over one of those nites...I am up for anywhere tho, Burlington is a hop away for me... We should plan a nite in 2-3 weeks and give everyone time to plan it out and just meet where it would be most convenient. I just saw a sweet red 73 on 189 yesterday! I would love to find the owner of that. Maybee he has some parts kickin around I could use on my 73 project car...
Everyone post when and where it will be good for them...I am trying to enter the Stowe Car show with my Bandit if the weather holds, but I am free at nite to meet that weekend. Maybee I can talk the wife into driving the 84 too... Lets do this! We need to get the F-Body people in Vermont together so at least we can network for parts if nothing else!

I would be up for something just let me know. I have to get the car back on the road (replacing the valve seals), otherwise it isn't much to look at right now (clear is peeling) but I'm in. I have seen alot of thirdgens in the area as well as second and fourth gens so maybe some of them are members too. I will let my brother-in-law know, he can possibly bring his 79 z28.

I'm in Malletts Bay (Colchester). I washed the car anyway, so I'm good to go!
Definately need a few day's notice or so. I will need a bit of time to set up a babysitter. Daytime/early evening is good, since I don't drive the car at night if I can help it.

Good to see some GMB's up around (green mountiain boys). I haven't been driving since I blew the transmission up in 04' but here she was the last 2 years before. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...21#post2448321 (PAGE 4 under AC post) Next summer I'll have it done and out. 710hp 383 with Procharger D1 14lb boosted engine built by RPM in Georgia with a TKO600 / SPEC stage 4 behind her.

Ok, so how does Saturday, August 27th sound for AL's in South Burlington, on Williston road?
Rain date for either the following day or the weekend after Labor Day. (Sorry, but I don't run my car in the rain)
Thoughts? Opinions?

I could possibly go to that. However, I am waiting to find out if my family will be having a reunion either that weekend or the one before. The weekend after labor day (10-11th) I will be going to the Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George, NY, so I know I can't go to that. I met a guy with a second gen firebird this weekend when I was out for a drive in Malletts Bay. He let be know that there is a cruise-in, for any kind of car, over in the back lot by the Dicks sporting goods in Williston (by exit 12) every wed. night at ~6PM. I didn't know if anyone would want to go to something like that. I guess you can find out about any events or shows that are going on in the area there.

That's fine. Turns out there is something else going on here too...
How about the weekend of September 17th or 18th?
Or even drop in on the guys at Dick's on Wednesdays...

I think the weekend of the 17th and 18th would work for me. I was going to check out the thing at Dick's last night until we had the thunder storms roll through. I wouldn't mind going there next week if the weather cooperates just let me know and we could possibly meet somewhere and head over.

Well, the Wednesday night gathering produced around 20-25 cars, ranging from Cobra kit cars to 500hp Chevelles... Nazz and I didn't get much of a huge welcome, but at least we were representin' the ThirdGens!
There definately needs to be a Blue Line or Al's dinner gathering before the snow flies...

Well, I'm done for the summer. The car's all put away until next year, with less than 900 miles added to the odometer.
See you all next year!
