ct to get big raceway park!
i went to a job fair in plainfield,ct for the possible up coming new england raceway park, they r planning a nice set up. a 1 mile oval, with autocross track in the middle, used for autocross, and moto/supercross for motor cycles, they r also going to be putting a drag strip.now as of yet nascar has not expressed an interest in the ovel, but NHRA has expressed a huge interest in the drag strip and i am sure that the SCCA will want to get in on the autocross track action, so all u new englanders in or close to ct cross your fingers, this will be the best thing to happen for us considering that they refuse to reopen the old colchester drag strip because of complaints from residents about it making to much noise for the and we tried reqlly hard to get them to re-open it a couple years ago, including forming a petition with somewhere around 6000 signatures.hope for the best gang, and i will try to keep u all posted with what ever info i can get i believe they already have a web site up, i will let u know soon.

i seen on tv a few months back that nascar islooking in connecticut for a new track. they have intrest by the casinos. now they are also looking into jersey somewhereso i dont know what thedeal is now. would be real nice to see a track in connecticut

yeah, well when i went to the job fair they told me that nascar hs not shown any serious interest YET, but that the nhra was extremely interested

it was on the news that they had a town meeting in stonington about nascar seeking to put a track there. so i do know that they sought infomation about putting a oval there then the rummors about jersey came about and i never heard of anything after that. would be real nice to see a track so lets keep our fingers crossed
