Car: Camaro (soon) Engine: 385, All forged, Trickflow Al heads Transmission: T-56, SPEC STAGE 3, hurst shifter. Axle/Gears: Moser/ 4.11 | Starting local third gen club...Neer Boston. Well last week was a success. More people would have been cooler, but 2 guys showed up at my house last weekend. I was very exited to meat other camaro guys....I really hope we can get more next week.
Anyone know the next step into becoming an official club. If we do, do this. I would not be totally ready to spearhead the project till spring when my car is done.
Anyone else interested....?
We are four people stong so far, but there are at leat two others that wanna meat up.
6 guys aint a bad start.

Yeah most of our cars are not gonna really be done will spring. So no worries. I figure in the next couple weeks we can meet up again at some point. I will add you to my buddy list of people that wanna be in on the club idea. Should be big and nice by the time spring comes around.

Looks like thats what most of us are all doing this winter. I am dropping in a crazy 383. Linx is dropping in an L98, and Vadim is sticking with his bored 305, but getting new heads/intake and cam. Some of the other guys might be doing some motor stuff but have not told me.
We should be a very fast club, haha.

Car: 87z28 convt | i blew a head gasket last week so i finished putting on a new one today, not really going to go crazy with the motor, but i am going with heads cam and intake, and the fuel system has to be changed other than that its going to stay the same, but u know how that goes once you start doing stuff its like well, well im here i mine as well do this and this and then you end up doing a whole motor. |

-Now it is a 6 point, fuel celled, stroked 500 hp, T-56ed, and running 335 tires with a full custom interior.
Things def get away from you. haha. |

Car: 87z28 convt | i know that feeling i was going to do the interior but i took everything out for weight, as you can tell i don't drive it on the street much maybe 100 miles a week i usually bring it to the track on saterdays but because of a wiring issue i didn'y race it at all this year, but next year i hoping to drive it on the street more. |

I have been but never ran. Many of the other guys in the club have never been at all. It will be great. It will be great to be there with our own club kinda thing and help eachother out. |

Car: 87z28 convt | ya its a good time i go all the time with or with out my car. went to rode island last night to pick up my buddies car so we can run it tonight. car should go 10.6's with a conservative tune . don't want to break it on the first run out. went last weekend if you didn't have a 9 second car u were slow lot of fast cars there. my buddy had his buick regal there but he couldn't hook for nothing. he put over 1200 to the wheels on the dyno. car should go mid 7's by the time he gets the bugs worked out. |

I am not one for beating my car on the track but I do love to watch other guys do it. The car I am building now is just not set up for it. Mainly the interior. The bars are welded by me and would never pass certification. Also my 5 points are mounted wrong. No biggie. I can change them, but I just don't feel like it, hehe. I think I will be able to get one run maybe and then get kicked out. haha. Oh well. Can't wait to be there with a bunch of third gens. |

Sounds like you have a lot of experience with "track" events. That is awsome. I don't know anyone like that. You would be quite the asset to the "club" I am trying to get goin'. I figure fall, I try and find as many people that are interested as possible. Maybe meet up and shoot the **** for a bit, but to figure out who is seriouse about the club and by spring have a good set of local guys that can meet up and maybe even host our own gatherings at a local pizza place or what not.
I acctually live in Needham. Are you in the city itslef putt-putt?
I go to Northeastern. |

I brought my car to its first small showing, went great. Caused a lot of comotion and sparked a lot of questions. It was a great time.
I have some good plans and local support for this club idea. post here if you are local to boston, and have a thirdgen. |

I am very exited about all the posts I am seeing here. This is great. I have some ideas about what you can do. Let me propose it to you guys and you can tell me what you think.
Here it is:
Well I live in Needham MA, and in Needham, I live right next to (like within 200 yards) of exit 18 off 95. So I propose we meet up at my house, cuz it is really easy to get to. Then we can finally put a face to all these online IDs. And from there, we can cruise to a 50s dinner that is 15 miles from my house, its a place called Riley's Roast beef. It is like 10 minutes past the Natick mall. Great place, a lot of muscle cars go there Fri, and Sat. Then after we do that, maybe we can find a place to meet up every Saturday, maybe Riley's if you guys like it. Then if there is ever a Saturday that people need help, like a compressor, some random tool, like a welder or something, we can meet at my place and hep eachother out, then go to Riley's or just the person who needs help can come, that kinda thing. I would be happy to help out fellow thirdgenners.
I think a car club should be more than just guys you drive around with. It would be great to not just share info on parts and stuff, but to also help out. I have built my car from the ground up, so I know these things inside and out, cuz of that, I have a lot of tools and stuff that I almost never use that I am sure some of you guys might need at some point.
Well with that said, Lemme know what you all think. I always keep my Saturdays free of anything to do so that I can work and play with the car. If the weather is nice, I think next week would be a great first meeting. |

I also have a lot of stuff left over from building my car, and it would be great to use the club as a first stop when trying to sell stuff.
One last thing. Maybe we can start making a list to of people intersted, with a link to their CD sites, so we can see what they have.
I will start.
