I don't drive it in deep snow b/c I just don't have good enough tires to even try it. But yes, if I am not careful, then the rear end swings around in snowy conditions.
i too live in mass near worcester...................i dont drive my car in the snow cuz it will go no where

a lot but nothing performance wise. got it in high school, replaced damn near everything to get it running right then painted/wheels/new trans. It's bone stock other than a set of flowmasters that came on it. Just graduated college last may so once i get a job the real fun starts...

in short...everything. full tear down and build up. the "big idea" behind the build will be putting in a FULL c6 driveline, as in 6 speed transaxle/IRS along with the LS2.
I'd actually like to find out if any local speed shops would be willing to work with me to develop some kind of kit for the transaxle swap, I know a couple members on here are interested in one->

I'm from Chicopee, 10 minutes away from Springfield. I dont have a 3rd gen yet, but soon might. I've got an 88 Formula deal lined up where I can pick it up in about 2 weeks, but I've got alot of thinking to do. It needs a fuel pump and a paint job. Bad weather in MA and Insurance costs (cause I'm only 17) might ruin it for me. I dont want to have the rear slip out on me and wrap it around a tree next winter, and I definitly cannot afford $300 a month because MA insurance is a total rip-off most of the time. Haha, I dont know if I can say no to it though

My insurance when i was 16 on an 1988 camaro sc was about 12xx with just comprensive on it. the title was in my name so it was my insurance. im 19 now and have an 85 iroc and after they changed the insurance this year mine went down to just under 1000 with the basic coverage. just some food for thought
I am from Revere and I pay $160 per month and that’s $1,657 per year for Full Coverage. My brother in Pennsylvania pays $160 per month for two cars. Even with the new Massachusetts Insurance system, it is still a con game.
The Massachusetts state legislature is the biggest con of all. Together We Can't

Is that the one is Westfield that was on craigslist?
nah, it's not in westfield. I've got a Grand Prix now, its not bad for winters so maybe I'll just inspect and insure the Firebird from like April-November and use the Grand Prix when the weather gets harsh. I'm hoping that as long as it's only the Firebird or only the GP on my insurance, it wont cost too much. I wouldnt be able to afford 2 cars at the same time.

That sounds like a good plan to me, it only costs 15 bucks to transfer a registration.
Really, only $15? Thats awesome. I was worried they'd charge me for having a Performance car such as a Firebird, they usually find some way like that to make more money out of you. Then I just need to buy it, spend $50 on a fuel pump and it's driveable. The paints in rough condition, sanded off in some spots. The guy I'm buying it off though said he could do the job for me when it gets warmer out, so when that time comes its just about $350 plus materials and its 100% road ready.
Partial for the last ten years or so. In the long run if the cars only worth $3000 it does not pay to have collision. I've saved almost twice that over the last ten years.
