you cars should only require a safety inspection. I think anything older then 95 now doesnt require an emission test. I just got a sticker on my 94 Blazer and there was no smog test done.

hi and thanks for the reply. The side pipes on the vette have baffles in them, but no cats. I've been told by a few shops not to even bother taking it to them. Need some help real bad. Have cash...

I dont know what else to tell you but other then try taking it somewhere and see what happens. They will NOT do an emissions test on the vette. I dont how else they can fail you for something on the exhaust. Drive it in and see what they say.

My understanding is that although the car may not have to pass a sniffer anymore, it still has to pass a visual inspection, i.e. it's got to have a cat or the inspection station isn't going to touch it.

Best advice that I can give you is to get a set of mini cats and have them welded in somewhere between your side pipes and your headers.

haha ya i live in marshfield and get mistaken for that iroc all the time, besides my dented fender i have the same exact car. Theres actually like 8 thirdgens in marshfield but only 3 are on the road and are barely driven.

19.4 MPG with canoe on roof

I'm in Brighton. I don't know though, I wouldn't want your T/A to embarass mine, let alone your knowledge. All I've got is a love for firebirds, a little bit of know-how and a dream of restoring my bird back to glory. It got rear-ended a while ago. Took a good 25mph hit (I was stopped), pushed me into the car in front of me. The body's pretty banged up, but it's got a young heart (35k on re-built) and a lot of new parts to make it an awesome daily driver.
