Inspection time

Well its getting close to that time of the year again and i need to get my car inspected again. There is only a slight problem. In the great state of Massachusetts the law says that the tint on a car can only be 35% on the side windows but as dark as you want on the back. The problem is that i have 20% on my car. It's really not that dark while looking at it and you can still see inside the car. The only deal is that i went to one place and they said it was to dark so they couldn't pass me. I was wondering if any of you guys know of a place that might let it slide, or just tell me the place you get your cars inspected at and maybe they'll give a fellow f-body a pass. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Re: Inspection time

actually, i think your info is out of date. Im pretty sure you are now the same as us in VT. NO tint allowed on the side windows or front windshield at all, but no limits on rear tint. Just take the tint off the side windows, not worth the hassle.

Re: Inspection time

I think its hit or miss, i was told i had to remove my window tint on the side windows and rear window because i was at 33%. they tested them and said it had to come off, and that its not just the side windows, but the rear window limit was also 35%. i say its going to be hit or miss, kind of like each inspection stations opnion on exhaust and whats loud or queit
