Anyone in the Upstate New York area up for a car show?

I'm Hosting an anual car show for my Highschool and this will be my 4th year running it.

I know what you're thinking, it's a High School show it can't be that good or big.

This acturally is not at all true. The Highschool's Automotive Club has been making anual car shows for years and is quite known around our area. We normally pull between 70 - 80 cars i believe each year(depending on weather(and there are rain dates if it does indeed rain)). These run anywheres from 1920's Roadsters, Pre WW2, 50's cruisers, Muscle Cars, Imports, Pace cars and Newer cars.

I'd be interested in going, and i got a buddy that might be interested in going as well. Both of us are working on putting LT1s into our cars at the moment, but otherwise we should be able to make it. Is it $5 at the door kind of thing?

the way i've run it in the past is you pull into the school and when you get to the main spot where the car show is there is a table where you would pay the 5$ to enter your car and you receive your :

voting voucher (so you can vote on who you think should win the categories)

Car Marker Sheet (that you fill out with what type of car it is and u place it on windshield under like windwiper somewhere ppl can see it and write your # down if they want to nominate you for a something)

you sign in, then pull in and pick a spot.

I'm President of the High School's Automotive club so i'm running the show. Any questions feel free to ask and if you do show up My name is Sean and I'll be bringing my Black 88' IrocZ to enter in the student section of the car show, and most likely have either an army or irish hat on. I'l be easy to spot. Gl and i hope you guys can make it

I can probebly make it. I have to save the gas money though for it lol . my 411 gears will suck up the gas running up their. I always go to the lot in colonie on fridays or sat . u know where that is right?

the one in the kohl's parking lot, Near office max/mcdonalds ect, accross from the beverage center? tbh thats only 1 i can think of atm lol

you are about 141miles from the school so 2h-2hr30min drive from specific location to specific location.

Changed title to more please ur view lol but everyone around here consider us in the Upstate new york area and your more west. obviously nyc isn't upstate but from about mid columbia and up was always considered upstate least over here.

and thanks for the offer i do need parts ranging from big stuff as passenger front fender, maybe new t-tops(they're loose and shake when on car dunno what causing it) and interior stuff. But being still in high-school and no job atm so my funds are low, and parents wont help money wise since they really didn't want me to buy the car in the first place haha

Might be able to make it. Went to high school there and still live close by. Don't know if I'll have the car on the road though, money has been real tight lately and it's not registered. We'll see. I'd like to go.

Hey, I just got rid of most of that car, but I stripped it clean. There are a few things I have to sell, but if you give me a list I'lll see if there is anything I dont need and give them to you. I started doing this stuff in high school too and I remember getting help from some of the older guys. Now I'm building stuff with them. Just paying it FWD. Give me a list.

i wish i could make it but im going to be at work i would bring my 90 rs. whats the whole deal that happens in colonie i moved to schenectady from maine like 5 months ago and i was at mcdonalds the other day and there were vipers and some other pretty sweet cars there whats that all about?

At Mcd's it's a weekly meet and hang. And Damn i was gonna go to that one but had to stay home and finish up school work.

You should checkout whats in the lot of the new Denooyer GM Performance Dealership on Central ave. it has tons of new camaros, corvettes, i saw a ferraris, lambos, vipers there aswell. they're the only dealership that sells a car that can have up to 1200hp (Even Bugatti doesnt match since their Veyron is 1001hp). Getting world wide known very quickly since they only been there a few months

yeah we stop in there everyonce in a while when we see the oldies and we check em out. and damn its great to have a girl that is just as into the classics as i am..
