Hey everyone; my name's Kevin and I live in New Bedford, MA.

I haven't gotten my car on the road yet, bu I will soon, and I hope t head up to Star Drive-In, near Lakevile, MA, this summer for there Wednesday shows; the first and third Wed of each month. They're a lot of fun, and with the death of the f bod, maybe on Sept. 25 (last say of the f body's life) we could have a huge cruise wth first, second, third, and fourth gens. Let the f body rule the streets one last time

SteveSJC-man I've seen your car in person. Your car gave me the motivation to mod mine for appearance, as I found your car to be good in performanc, but even better to me in appearance :-) I saw it at the World of Wheels show in Boston..if you can remember, there was a kid who was interested in the pair of 91-92 Camaro rims you had. Well, that kid is me! lol never thought we'd meet here.

Anywhoo, here's alink to a page where all you MA members can check out my car!

http://photos.yahoo.com/kevin88camarosc

Talk to you all later!

I've got an 86 Iroc, she's getting a complete rebuild in my garage right now. I've got a beefed up 305 that's getting dropped in her here soon. The motor is capable of low 13's, and possibly high 12's. The motor ran a 13.30 at NE Dragway, of course with somebody that doesn't know how to drive it either. But I have yet to drop my motor and trans back into her here yet. Still have to finish off my s/s brake and gas line plumbing before she's ready for that. But with all my work I've been doing to her here as of lately, she should be out within a month to kick up some dust and get a big a$$ plate of rice n pony.

Sounds like an awesome idea. But beware of the cops here in Fall River, CobraKiller. They've been getting sneaky as hell here and have also gotten a few staties into the mix as well as the Tiverton police dept. They've been setting up traps, and have also used undercover cars, Camaro and M#@!%&@'s, to lure people into racing on the 1/8. A friend of mine made the papers here back when one of their stings was successful, front page to be exact.

Just saying to be careful of who you pull up next to man and do a clean sweep of the run before you do decide to get on it.

The cops are definitly sneaky in fall river. I watched two trucks get pulled over for racing on the 1/8th. They didn't even know it was coming. The cop was hiding in the trees over there with his lights off. I had seen him my first cruise by there. But anywho I'm seriously interested in having a cruise of some sort with everyone locally. I might even just take my IROC back and keep it instead of selling. I don't know i'm sure I'll figure it out. But I know there's plenty of people from the new england area for us to get together for some kind of gathering. Anyone have a real big yard? hehe I'm sure we'd need a big place for it to all happen.

BOTTLEDZr28 and CobraKiller,

I've been thinking of starting a car club here in the New Bedford, Taunton, Dighton, Swansea, and Fall River area. Maybe an even bigger area depending on how far it gets and how big as well. I have 4 friends with third gens and two with C4 Corvettes that are all building them up right now. We've been talking about getting something like that setup for a while now, but have never really done too much thinking of it.

BOTTLEDZr28, my best friends in-law's live in the Lakeville/Middleboro area. I know where Star Market is, and they've got a big lot up there. Is that the same place you're talking about for the shows? But that's definitely a great idea for a few of us to take a cruise up that way and show some Bowtie pride!!

My yard isn't that big, although if it was.......

Setting up a car club locally sounds like a real good idea to me. I'm all for it and if you need any help with anything i'd definitly be willing. I'm all for showing some bowtie pride and all about nice cars. I know IROCZ28KevinZ would also definitly be interested in something like that. I think i'm going to go by the dealer this weekend where my IROC is and take it back and let the re-modding begin..

Yeah I would hold onto that car man it is SWEET!

anyway I am down for a club lets get going on it! We should make it a muscle car club. I know alot of people don't like Mustangs but we could make it really big if we included all muscle cars. just a thought

Mustang..camaro it makes no difference to me. It's all american muscle. As long as the owners are cool and love muscle cars It sounds good to me. However as Roc-It-Man said before in Fall River and new bedford also everyone has rice or a pony. But i'm sure there are plenty of cool stang owners out there. I say we get something going. I'm picking up my camaro on monday or tuesday so I can put a new fuel pump in it and possibly do a brake upgrade.

Car Club

I think that a Camaro or Muscle Car club would be cool. I just read through CobraKiller's posts, and I am really interested in this.

Many of you may not know or believe it, but at one point in time, there was a Camaro Club of New Bedford back in the 60s through the early to mid 80s. My father was president of it for some time but he gave up on it due to lack of interest from other Camaro owners. I still have his jacket that has the club emblem on it and everything. It's really hurting to know that at one point in time, these cars were popular enough to have a club in New Bedford, but now are looked upon as inferior.

I plan on pulling a 35-foot burnout on Sept. 25 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Camaro and the end of F Body produciotn, slated to cease on that day. Who else would be with me in pulling off a New Bedford-area cruise of nothing but F-bodies to commemorate this?

Kev :hail: F BODIES!!!

:sillylol: :nono: :nono: IMPORT RICERS!!!

I'm one of the founding members of Generations Car Club out of the Brockton area...we got together because a lot of the "older" car clubs & the car owners give what they call "new" cars a hard time. I can't tell you the number of times that someone has tod me that my car is not a real hot rod because it's newer than 1975 or the new thing is the ricers giving me a hard time because i don't have a 6-inch tailpipe and 18inch chrome wheels.
we enjoy going to cruise nights, shows and just hanging out.

I'd be interested in getting together with everyone and talking to people about the club.
