April 2, 2006. How 'bout some hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and sodas FREE. Dyno testing will be ready then. Just waiting for the weather to clear up and heat up a little bit. If anyone is interested, let me know.

$55...........that must be some kind of an introductory rate for the first 10 to sign up. I found out Senator Ford in Florin Rd. is charging $150.00 for 3 pulls. And yes, exact same dyno. Geez..dealer's price at best. I'm going to call around and find out the ongoing rate for dyno testing.

I'm just going off what most places in the bay and a couple around here do it for.
We got it done in Concord for that gtg for 50ish and I know Synergy and Throttle Stop locally do it around $60.
I don't see why anybody would dish out $150, crazy dealers.

Yeah $75 is a fair set price for the average walk-in.
I don't remember what FFP quoted me a year or so ago, but Synergy just had a gtg and was doing them for $65.
So those who get in on a $55 day would be getting a deal.
Most of them use Dynojets's I think, with inflated #'s compared to a Mustang.

Yeah,I don't think my #'s will be magnificent either but would like to have a base # to work off of.I should be in stock l98 range would be my guess.I will add a holley afpr and mess with the pressure then.

Does he have a Mustang dyno? I know those dynojets are useless, ive personally seen one read 150 ft/lbs and about 100 horse difference in the same setup just done three weeks apart.

I personally figure mustang dynos are better for tuning, but if you want numbers to compare to other people's setups, almost EVERYONE uses dynojet corrected numbers.

Bennie has a Mustang dyno, and if you're looking to see inflated #'s you might be dissapointed depending on your setup, because most folks go to Dynojets or the like and post those #'s.
I've heard and read only about a 5-10% difference depending on how they are calibrated I believe.
If you really want to know, don't go by a calc. just to make a big #, actually have it dyno'd by a notable place to compare after if you must.
In general lightly modded 3rd gens are not meant to be dyno queens and sport large #'s in comparison to LS1's.
Regardless, it's great for a baseline and a tool for tuning if used with the proper equipment, especially if you continue to dyno at the same place to compare in the future.
Is your car being worked on already Del?
Will probably be there awhile, but there's a lot going on it.
Good work takes time.
He doesn't do welding btw, but I know he and I can recommend a shop or two.
I'll get a list compiled of those possibly interested and confirm as the month goes on.
I won't spread the word to other forums until I know it's more definite.
List is up @ the top, if you want to be added or removed or whatever let me know.
I just guessed and assumed on some.

ya im real happy with the times. I had a bad passenger side cat which is throwing a code, making my car run rich, but deleted the code right before the dyno. Newtech said i have a bad lifter, so my next mod is cam, lifter, roller rockers, pushrods,etc.

lol no way in hell. u eat me alive on the road course. i just can't wait to see my car opps i mean ur car at the track with the 350. Hopefully by the time u get ur 350 i'll get my heads/cam. newtech dynoed an 02 ss with the same heads im getting with a slightly bigger cam and put down 460rwhp adn 420rwtq. Hopefully with my setup i'll get aroudn 450rwhp.

I don't know if it's the suspension mods planting better or the tune but this thing has crazy torque for a 305.I took out an l98 iroc the other day leaving summit.It pulls up high where my 87 cut off.I'm only gunna have 2 weeks after I get back to swap the rear,swap the fuel pump,Install the afpr and a couple of other things so I'll be busy getting this thing ready for the dyno.

when i had the holley afpr it seemed to like it at 48psi and it pulled alot better with it. get a holley unit for ur afpr, the plenum as already been knotched for clearence so all u have to do is stab it in. U changing fuel pump? I thought the whinning noise is from the vent line.

It still does it!I Have tried everything but I guess after doing it for so long it's just going to keep doing it.Sometimes it seems to stumble a bit and the idle drops but then goes back up.I think I'll swap in a Walbro.I am getting the holley,isn't the adjuster on the side of those.My bbk was on top and hit the plenum.

well i was having problems with surging. Bob (mysticwizard) and I were trying to diagnos the problem. This is when we found out 4 or my injectors were bad. So we replace them with svo injectors, the problem was still there. bob and I uninstalled the holley unit and put the stocker on and the problem went away. i sold the holley unit to mysticwizard and hes gonna put that on his 383. There was a post a while back about the problems with the holley unit and my situation was posted.

Supposed to be one of the easier to adjust and reliable units.
The diaphragm is known to go bad sometimes.
Impressive dyno #'s Harjeet, but that's what I would expect from an LS1 with all those mods.
Seems like it should be at least high 12's with that trap and amount of power though.
I added you to the list as a maybe spectator btw.
I guess that's why I'm not impressed by big #'s on the dyno.
If you can't translate that to the track/street, it doesn't mean much in my eyes.

Not real motor mods I guess, but you don't need them w/ an LS1.
As far as the power thing, yeah, I know my car will be a force to reckon with on the street/track and could still out perform cars with potentially more power.

well my numbers were done at newtech performance. He has a dynojet. All those mods? The only that that gives me mroe power is the lid. Acually im loosing hp cuz my ls2 flywheel is heavier then my stocker but not much. People seen a loss of 2 rwhp when converting to an ls2 flywheel/ ls7 clutch. I do have an ls6 block which dyno higher then ls1. Im just suprised that my torque number were that high. My friend with an 02 ss with longtubes, high flow cats, 3 inch y-pipe, gmmg exaust, lid, tune hit 333rwhp and 346rwtq. My friend also has an ls6 block.

no problem. ur a better driver then i am anyways. Maybe u could help me get into 12's. on ls1's the clutch hydraulic line has a ristriction inside the line which wont let enough hydraulic fluid to ur slave cylinder so when u shift at high rpms u tend to loose hydraulic pressure and scratch the gears. The "drill mod" eliminates the ristriction in the line by drilling it out, which allow more hydraulic fluid to ur slave. I've done it and the petal feel feels alot better.

the ls6 is a beefier block, which could handle more hp. And the ls6 block has a better oiling system. My 60' is 2.23 on balded street tires.
