Re: Nor-Cal intro thread - Tell us about you and your 3rd gen!
Well name is James, I've owned a couple thirdgen camaros and a firebird since high school. Recently I picked up 1990 Iroc Convertible with a 5.7 swap and a 5 speed from a shop I help out at. It's not in the greatest shape but runs and stops. I'll be pretty much just replacing broken or missing parts to make it look nice and a few engine upgrades as well. I despise the CA DMV and all the emissions ridiculousness that this state forces on us car guys. I originally come from Wisconsin and currently am employed at US Cellular. Always looking for knowledge and parts on this site since about 2004.

Hey all,
My name is Ilya and I'm currently a student in the central valley, specifically near the Modesto area. I'm originally from near San Jose though and am currently back until August. I have a 1986 Trans Am with a swapped 350 crate engine and a manual 5 speed which I got from my neighbor. Currently I'm just trying to get the car smogged and fix the cooling issue it has. After that my plan of attack is cleaning it up followed by suspension, transmission, then additional power. Anyways, if you see me driving around don't be afraid to say hi!

My name is Amanda.
I'm a high school chemistry teacher in the East Bay Area.
I've got a 1992 Camaro RS 5 speed
This was my very first car, so I've had it about 15 years now.
It's been sitting for the past 6 years or so and I want to get it running again and restore it (she's always needed a bit of work). My dad was great with cars and restored a few himself back in the day, but he unfortunately passed before I decided to really jump into this project, so I'm tackling this with the help of my Chilton manual, YouTube, and my brother via Zoom. It's been interesting so far!
