Any interest in a GTG at Ocean Beach, SF on Saturday April 2nd?

I am thinking about putting together a meet out this way. I know a lot of you guys hail from out east, but I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to come out and meet some of us more coastal guys. I figure we could meet for a couple of hours, check out the cars, and if you guys are down, maybe a BBQ at my place in the city. Plenty of parking at both Ocean Beach and my place. Just a thought, what do you guys think?

Looks like I've got some interest here so far, I convinced the guys from WCGMP to have a meet up this way for a change so they will also be there. Not sure how many of them at this point. Also working on getting some cars from my friends Nova club to swing by. Should be a good gtg. And you're all welcome to come to a potluck BBQ at my place afterwards. Plenty of parking.

Thanks man, that's very nice of you both. I am leaving it open to whatever you guys would like to contribute. My lady and I will provide the grille of course, as well as burgers/buns/fixings, and water/soda. Whoever comes from WCGMP for the meet and stays for the BBQ will also bring various things. We'll have an official thread started for the meet here soon, as well as a list of who's coming and bringing what. That should help. But once we have a better idea of how many people to expect, then we can plan it out more. Looking forward to this meet, and seeing my street littered with F-bodies and other GM vehicles.

Going to your place is tempting as I am planning on going to PNP in Sac and Fairfield to look for Camaro parts. Maybe I can plan that weekend if the wifey says its ok. What part of Ocean Beach is the meet? I dont know SF well enough to know where it is. I'll be in my beater Escort if I come.

But I understand what he is saying. But the meets are for some cars, but mostly to interact with other owners. Copchaser might not have his car there but he might attend, same as Ramair, 86firebirdta etc..Just show up!

We're not going to turn you away because you're not driving a GM product. Yes the club is largely comprised of GM cars but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate, and respect, other makes as well. We are however, trying to keep this within the realm of American cars at least. Otherwise we might as well as just hang out in the parking lot and invite everyone.

I'll park it on the other end of the lot so noone sees it as its a little green beater, but it runs good. I wouldn't show that old car anyways, unless I was at a beater show or an Escort show (do they even have shows like that??).

Great guys, lots of interest so far. There have been a few departures from the topic so to make it easier, can you please PM me if you plan on attending with the car you'll be in and the number of people in your party. That will help with logistics for the meet and bbq afterwards. I'll update the first post in this thread to include a headcount. Weather should be significantly nicer by April 2nd, if we're not all glowing green by then.
