What improvements or new mods.......
Whats happeneing third genners??? Just a lil thread here to see what folks are doing to their rides since our track day on the 14th of April. What upgrades or improvements are you thinking about or already started since the GTG? I am working on a brake upgrade, drop spindles, new ball joints and tracking down a tranny leak under the car. I also have a wonderbar to install. Whats happenin with your ride?

Have a friend working on caliper brackets so I can start my LS1 brake conversion. Waiting on my new tuner so I can program my methanol injection. Then I think I want to invest in a new torque converter to go faster.

Well I started this post to see what everyone else is doing, but havent really updated any of my madness going on in my garage. i came home from the track and threw the car back on the stands and ripped into the front suspension and steering.
Then the aftermath....

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
This is one of my new drop spindles from Racecraft with the bracket attached for my Brembo brakes..
the newly powdercoated and decaled caliper...
the setup somewhat assembled...
and them sitting inside the new rollers..
I hope to at least get the spindles mounted today and get the new tie rod ends buttoned up, sway bar remounted with the wonderbar thats been sittin in my cabinet since last spring. and might even have an opportunity to mount a caliper and rotor. Will update later on today.

Nice pics and mods John.
Did you get the full MOOG front rebuild kit, or the center link, tie rods, etc. separately?
Mine could use all of it eventually.

I bought the moog centerlink, ball joints, but I couldnt bring myself to spend 60 dollars a tie rod end, when I could get a cheaper brand for 15...they are easy enough to change if they fail...haha

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
Originally just bought the ball joints, but after pulling everything apart, the tie rods and center link were right there. After seeing how worn the pivots were, I jus replaced all of them. The only thing I didnt buy was an idler arm.

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
I found the tie rod ends (inner and outer) on ebay for like 20 for the outer and 30 for the inner a piece. Then called Summit and had them price match it, so the blow wasnt as bad as I originally expexcted.

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
Back together u say??? Dont mind if I do..lol I got up this a.m. bout 4, just couldnt sleep, and went back out to put the driver side together and clean up my mess a bit. Heres the outcome of my efforts..
Stock on the left, obviously.. 14 inch 2011 SS rotor on right
the spindles mounted with the new hub...
then with the rotor and caliper...
Now Im waiting on flush mount valve stems to show up. I need them to clear the caliper since the valve stem is to be located inside the wheel and the stock or shorties are still way huge. Its a bad pic, but if u look closely, you'll see its close where it is, but the caliper slopes toward the outer edge and the valve stem doesnt have a chance to clear at all..
All in all it was a fun project, the toughest part was pressing out the old a-arm bushings, pressing the new ones in and getting the springs back in. Its gonna feel like a whole new car when I take it out for a drive......... TO SANTA CRUZ

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
Before the santa cruz GTG, I am hoping to get my T56 installed, along with new Dyno Don Headers, 1.6 rr, my EBL tuner and Wideband installed and dialed in.
Then when I head back to Japan July 8th, I will be dropping the bird off at the paint shop
Saving the suspension, wheels, and brakes until I am home next year... car should be done after that... Might do some portwork and stuff to get the car in the 11's when I am home for a period longer than 30 days...
Kinda hoping to buy a small house with a 2 car garage in Sac when I am home in June... So if anyone know's of a awesome priced house for sale, shoot me a PM.

Hopefully this fixes my problem if not at least i will be able to tell how much gas i have.... only other thing i can think of right now is heated o2, get it to pass smog, and get it to run longer than 1 hour.

Nice. So your going to use half the old lines and install new sending unit with lines cut?
high pressure EFI hose
Should borrow our tubing cutter and flare tool for the lines.

Re: What improvements or new mods.......
you have a modified hub. The rotor slides on. So you won't have to mess with bearings everytime you do brakes. Then a screw holds the rotor in place which isnt absolutely neccesary because when the wheel is on it would hold the rotor anyway.
If this would fit under stock 15 inch wheels it is something id deffinately consider.

I kno... I need a new one. Need to get moving on one soon.
I thought u were parting urs out... Or was it a different car? Thank you btw!!
Hub is modified, or a custom hub is used. the rotors's center bore needs to be opened up to 2.78in to clear our hub. Then yes it slides right on.

I got the ebl. But my holley 2bbl tbi doesnt supply enough fuel. I have since came across more information since that post. I got a 454 tbi unit. will going to vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator. Should supply me with enough fuel since Traviz let me use his holley hp software to fine how much fuel I really do need. at first we though i needed 4 injectors but I came across a flaw in our assesment. As far as ebl. I don't have it down 100% but with this new info. I will make it work. I would prefer a self tuning setup. but finances arent there right now. I want the camaro done performance wise already
