Re: You know you drive a F-Body when....
Again, I apologize for being off thread, but I know it doesn't take those window motor repair guys very long-like a pizza delivery guy(thirty minutes or less). The trouble is I have never been around when they come to change the motors out to watch them. Always left the car home with the wife. When you look on the forum for the directions to change out the motor, I only found what appeared to be a big hairy deal almost not worth the trouble.

Re: You know you drive a F-Body when....
Ha, find the template, drill the holes, drill the rivets, drop the motor, pop the new motor up, three bolts and three nuts. 4th gen is the same. G-body takes a little bigger hole because they use 10mm bolts. First time I did one I dealt with pulling the regulator crap, every one since I drilled the holes. Once the doorpanel is off, I can do it in five minutes or so.
And I am pretty quick at door panels too, maybe another 5 minutes. I've had to replace every motor on all my GM's (6 cars at the present)
, and have done a bunch of friends cars too.
http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/bo...lacement+power (Window motor install.......THE EASY WAY....the tech article is bogus!)

So?!
here is one> You spend $$$ on parts and hours installing them to get more power. THEN spending $$$ and more time taking it all back off so you can have a factory stock car.

I'm not from around here either, but it's just too good:
Every mechanic in the shop runs away when they see your car and hear the words "fuel pump"
You see someone walking away from a firebird at the junkyard, and know that the headlight motors have just disappeared

I am so guilty on so many of these, I will do most of the errands for the house just to drive, and I will go way out of my way to go by the store with the big glass windows. About the only ones I can't go along with are the wife/gf ones. My wife has a 1994 Formula, so she is part of the madness. I think she is just as guilty of most of these as I am.

#45 when you have to speed up and then shut your car off to coast into the driveway without being heard
^^^ done that sooo many times lol
this doesn't have to do with third gens or anything but its funny
when you pull up to somebody in a mustang and you have a manual and you high rev it and watch them take off like there racing and you take off normal and watch the mustang get pulled over
when you drive by a hotel and rev your engine and few people look out the windows to see what it was
