Re: Nebraska people!
Car will be out this summer in current form plus LS1 brakes on front, stock fronts on the rear. Also picking up a '00 5.3/4L60e combo this week. After the Ford Fairmont that was on Pinks... (Youtube it) I figured, 600+ hp for under $4K. Why not?!
Now I just need to come across $3K for Turbo and upgrades.
EDIT:
Nevermind. Sold it early I guess.

Re: Nebraska people!
Lincoln/Omaha here.....live in Lincoln, office in Omaha and travel all over NE, IA, SD, and Northern KS for work.
Just got tags (again) on the Z today so I can take her out for some shakedown runs. She's sat in various on and off camber positions in the drive and garage all spring/summer for a T5 swap, true duals, and a lot of 'little' jobs like white gauges, speedo cable, etc.
Plates have read "1986 Z28" for the last couple years- first pic is from spring when I put the engine back in after replacing the RMS, valve seals, intake gaskets, and adding a Canton oil pan. Rest are from a trip in 2007 on Route 66 from St Louis to Tulsa- wanted to make it to OK City, but my dog got hot with no a/c and 95* weather.
Drive my 'economical' truck during the week- 20mpg with 20's, crewcab, and 4x4 isn't too bad- drops to 17-18 at 85mph when I head west

With all the work that I see you got into it I think it's a fair price. I think you should add some finished pictures to the ad though so that the potential buyers can get a feel for what they are buying. You know what I'm saying?

I'll get some good ones and add them, thanks. I've meaning to post it on here, there would of course be a big TGO discount haha.

On a side note, I am searching allll over for a 4th gen plastic tank.. would anyone know where to get one? I've been down to the boneyards a few times, but its pretty rare to see a new enough one. I thought I came across one once, but the tank was already gone.

Re: Nebraska people!
Well welcome to the middle of nowhere! I am from Omaha and while mine is all torn apart over the winter, I was driving my 3rd gen all summer long!! Owned the darn thing for two years before I got to actually drive it. And its still not very nice.

Re: Nebraska people!
I'm going to be using the stock TPI regulator, but it will be nice to have a light tank that doesn't use my trunk space, since I just have a cell now. I have -8an running the car now that will be my feed line from the pump, and then I have the stuff to hook the return line to -6 and then to the stock steel to run down the car. The fuel rail is setup for a -8an rear entry. I also found out yesterday that my lt1 injectors fit fine and I don't need to shorten the towers on the lower manifold.

Re: Nebraska people!
Most people on CL suck when it comes to email- seems texting is probably the best way......although most people that do actually answer when you call are pretty fun to BS with- my wife hates when I sell things on there and end up having a 15 minute conversation about cars with a total stranger lol.
Sounds like she's coming along nicely! Not to rub it in but I might take ours out today. Have to run into Lincoln for some more paint for my daughters room, and it will get the car out of the garage so I can make more progress organizing it- we just moved to Waverly the day after Christmas.

Re: Nebraska people!
I feel your pain- I had to justify keeping insurance on ours for a few years because I'd make her undriveable every fall.....only been able to drive her since about August-finally got the t5 swap and new exhaust done, but being lowered and with true duals I've torn the mufflers off 5-6 times on driveways, train tracks, even pulling into the garage at our new house. My brother in law used to do exhaust for sublime in Omaha so one of these days he's going to help me tuck it all higher and weld it all up.
Am Muscle- I agree-roads have to be dry and no snow. Do you in or around Eagle I assume? I'll have to keep an eye out for you when I cruise through there. Did you go to culvers at all last year?

Re: Nebraska people!
we looked at a house there too- drive through a lot as a shortcut to daycare.
There's a lot of cars that go there on Fridays and sometimes Saturday nights- like a weekly car show. On nice days that is.

Here's an update on what I've been doing. I think I have a buyer lined up for when its all done and I get to drive it for a month. He wished it had an A/C though...... I told him that what the t-tops were for.

Anyone going to Thirdgen Fest? I was kind of thinking about either hauling mine on a trailer out there, taking the dsm, or going with someone.

I would except I don't really have enough money for that kind of gas with the paychecks I get.

Re: Nebraska people!
If it stops raining and I can wash it I would love to the paint is not in the best condition body is decent few dents the interior is a solid 8 there's a small hole in the drivers seat... The car is all stock just got fuel injectors for it but just moved my dad had one of these so I found a cheap one and bought my background is I've been rebuilding 3000gt vr4 since I was 18 and wanted a muscle car. Anyone live on base?
