So I think Im ready for Thirdgen Fest...
So I have gotten though problem number 8000 it seems like with this new engine set up I have. I have not had the car out since last Memorial day weekend. Two engines later and two of the hardest semesters of school are over with I think Im ready.
Now with a week and a half to get the Camaro done. I hope I have enough time, I would hate to disappoint anyone.
So how is everyone's cars coming along?
Kevin

Looks like my car will finally be there after over 2 years of working on her. Just go it back from paint and put it all back together. I still need to get the stupid coolant and oil pressure guages working though before next sat

D&B autoglass, located behind Lazer Auto parts in villa park IL. Just south of North Avenue on Addison Road, next to Terrace Supply. If you still can't find them, lookup Jim's Pet World in villa park, drive there, and then look across the street, you'll see Lazer.

My plan is to show up with 2 cars. My bird & "the boy's" camaro. Been working on the camaro everyday for a while to get it ready. It's just a matter of some misc parts at this point. Engine is in & Fri I should have enough parts to fire it up for the first time since we've had it. It won't be 100% done, but my goal is still set to have both cars at third-gen fest this year.

Maybe next year I will be reclaiming my car from a barn over memorial day weekend, and letting it air out before I attempt to drive it back up north.
I don't think i have been to thirdgen fest since '05?! There are a lot more cars now from what I gather.

Re: So I think Im ready for Thirdgen Fest...
As always I procrastinated until the last minute to get the new car ready and now I am in some serious crunch time. Typical for me, just like every other year, so hopefully I can actually have the Yellow car ready for Sat, if not, then ole Red will make a return visit and confuse everyone with it's stocl/modified wheels!!!
Wish me luck

Re: So I think Im ready for Thirdgen Fest...
i think im in the same crunch as some people. i dont think i will be ready again this year. i just overhauled the whole drivetrain. i swapped an auto to t-56, got some new go fast parts for the engine, got my nice dart pro 1's, beefed up the cam a little, and some misc parts. i also switched the rear out completely to a moser 9" w/ some new lca's (which i need to find the part number for the yoke that goes from stock driveshaft to the 9" rear). i also have to put on the new exhaust finish up some wiring in the bay and put all the fluids in. either way its a whole new animal and im way to anxious to drive it hopefully i can finish it though we will see.

Re: So I think Im ready for Thirdgen Fest...
Well when I adjusted the pressure on the regulator with the old pump they say to adjust it with the pump on and motor off. So I set that aroudn like 6 psi and then when I start the engine it drops to 3 psi and wont adjust up anymore. Also I checked the wiring and but in a thicker ground wire and the pump was just draggin down the voltage to it. Ordered a holley blue
