If you ever see a Red Formula driving around town that's me.

I'm prolly putting both cars up soon, and bringing out my Topaz.

Here is a quick photoshop rendition of what my Mustang is going to look like after my paintjob in 2002!

Hey MetalliCamaroRS,

How's the new car? Any tickets yet?

I was first troubled by your decision to get rid of your RS, but now I see why you did. Nice car!!!!!

Have you done any mods yet? Besides the ex. and K&N? BTW, I've never heard of "Ravin'". Good stuff?

Ravin Exhaust definitely makes any car sound mean. It made my Formula's exhaust sound like a dream. My friend Kyle had some on his 11 second Mustang LX and they sound sweeeet.

But now he has 1 chamber flomasters, and no tailpipes.

Oh, I got a Flowmaster 80s series because the Ravin was too loud in the interior, and I needed quiet because I travel to Ball State every now and then. L03 baby!

Did somebody say Ball State? I'm a half hour from there and have several friends that go there. I go to IU East in Richmond. I didn't know there were people around here on the board. I'll probably be paying more attention.

Gas economy was one of the reasons. Then, I only had that as my daily driver, and IT SUCKED!

It had...
-LT4 Hotcam
-Custom EProm
-4.10 gears
-SLP 1.75" Headers, 3" exhaust
-Built L03 heads
-Performer RPM intake
-Turbocity TBI
-Ravin muffler
-!Emissions
-!AC
-Crane 1.6:1 R-R's
-Timing adv. 12*
-GM replacement driveshaft
-700r4 with boosted line pressure/vette servo
-2800 RPM stall

It would yield me 4-6 mpg, and was unbearable to drive on the street with it raining so much this year.

So I took all the stuff out in anticipation to put it back in when I got the money to buy another car. Then I sold all the parts, and bought the Mustang, which is faster, more fun, and gets 24 mpg.

I put all the original parts back in...
-L03 cam
-Restored ECM to factory
-2.73 gears, stock carrier
-Stock exhaust manifolds
-Replacement catalytic converter
-2.5" exhaust
-Built L03 heads
-Stock intake
-Stock GM TBI
-Flowmaster 80s series
-+Emissions
-+AC
-Stamped rockers
-Timing 0* BTDC
-GM replacement driveshaft
-700r4 with boosted line pressure/vette servo
-Stock stall

Now it yields me darn near 30 mpg, and is so much more fun to drive, besides...I'm selling it to my best friend anyway. I'm almost ready to get my Mustang in show condition.

Ball State you say? Why yes...BSU...Par-tay! J/K, actually I have very good friends that are going to school there. I travel up there every once and a while to visit. I am actually trying to get set up at this school in Boston for Christian Ministry.

Hopefully, I'll get a Mass-Airflow system for my Stang so I can put my E303 cam back in, it ran like crap with speed density put back in, I traded my Old Mass-Air for my 86 Buick Regal. It was a good deal. Then after that, maybe we can all have a meet at US41 and rock the 1/4!

Oh, btw, my Stang has the stock components in it at the moment while it is in commission.

Had a Mass-air system, bought from friend with the E-cam for 200 bucks. Then another friend comes along, needs Mass-air, so he says he will trade me this 86 Regal. I said cool, I need a car to stuff my 403 Olds into. Tried to run the the cam with the Speed density put in, but it ran like crap. So I took the cam and the 2500 TC out. Now, it's 7 tenths slower, and the transmission is slipping, and is basically toast.

Last run @ US41 Wed. nite T&T...

#17

Reaction ---- .530
60 ft ------- 2.109
330 ft ------ 6.068
ET @ 594 ft - 8.729
1/8 ET ------ 9.322
1/8 MPH ----- 75.76
1000' ET ---- 12.133
1/4 ET ------ 14.511
1/4 MPH ----- 94.50

1st Finish

My low sprague has been beat to heck with the AOD shift pattern, it's going soon. Toast. The shift pattern goes PRN(D)D1. You have to hold first until 5800 rpm, then shift into D, then pull back into 1 to hold second, which is VERY hard on an AODs lower sprague. So in this case, it was slipping REALLY bad in the 1-2 shift, and OK in 2-3, but overall, not bad for a GT...

-3092 lbs.
-Stock internals
-AOD
-Street tires
-Headers/BBK Off-Road H-pipe
-40 Flowmasters, no Tailpipes
-3.73 gears

Waiting for Mass-Air kit to buy, so I can put a nasty old cam in...prolly the X303, hehe.

But it did run 13.87 @ 98.9 mph before I took the Cam/Converter/Mass-Air out, so I'm satisfied.
