Count me in unless its on the West coast. I don't think anyones gonna recognize my car next year I plan many exterior mods. I hope so anyways.

I would recommend having the next meet in a better location. Plenty of room at Frederick BUT.....Frederick SUCKS lol. Maybe have it in a town with something. Frederick only had one club LOL

Oh Mark...don't count im me staying at a campsite with you again..Im getting a damn hotel room lol. I know you understand

Well, since it was already on the east coast I think it should be on the west coast this time. Las vegas would be an awesome place to do it at. Can cruise the strip at night and there is a lot more to do there. PLUS you would get all of the cali, AZ, nev guys out there and there is a LOT of us.

what about mutiple (sp) meets next year? like LA, Las vegas, Chicago, New York city, Orlando? have one person from each area set up the mets? Just an idea. i think it would go over well! i know that we would have a HUGE get together in crete,IL at denny's house what do you all think?

I think if you have multiple meets in the same year, only people from that area would go to it. If you have one big meet in a centralized location, I think more people would go.

i think you will have more if you have more then one. each one wouldn't be as big as one big one but if you have 150 people at the big one and like 25 at each little one and have like 10 little ones thats 250 people so over all you get more people.

I think one big one is a better idea as well. Local clubs are what the 10 car get together's are for. I still say vegas. Everyone likes vegas.

Vegas is 5 hours from me, if I wanted close I would of said to have ti at disneyland lol about ten minutes from me. But if you think the reason I want to go to vegas is because it is close to me, you are sorely mistaken my friend

Well sure you might get more overall if you total a few up- but then thats not really the "Nationals". Its just a few groups getting together and adding everyone up.

No way could I afford to drive to Las Vegas from West Virginia. Nor would I want to drive 4-5 days. I hate driving. I had to drive 6 hours to Frederick and I almost fell asleep. I hate driving. More than 45 minutes in a car and Im tired as hell. One guy came to thirdgen nationals from WA. That is insane.

funny you east coast guys say you don't want to drive, but you expect us west coast guys to come? I think vegas will bring a lot more cars. A lot of the big Fbody conventions happen in vegas... I could see a HUGE turn out of Camaro's and Firebirds. I also think there is a lot more for people to do in vegas than there is in frederick Just an idea

I don't expect anyone to drive for the event.

I know it won't be in AZ though. Give me a few more weeks for things, maybe a little longer. College starts tomorrow, and I just moved into a new house, things have been busy.

Vegas is in Nevada I wouldn't want it in AZ either, though I have family there I could hang with lol

I understand it may be more difficult for you to set it up out here since you live out there, but hey I am willing to help anyway I can. I am sure the guys in the so cal and western regional boards would be all over helping in anyway they can.

Just some ideas.

How bout if whoever wants to have a meet in their area, get one together and call it the (your city's name here) thirdgen meet. Mark did all the work last year and came up with the Nationals name so it should stay on the East coast.

Well, I've posted this in other places but I guess I'll do it here too. I'm going to keep having my annual thirdgen party every Memorial Day weekend (last Saturday in May). Whether it becomes the 2004 Nationals doesn't really matter. Either way everybody is invited and it will be BIG!!! We had just under 50 cars last year and are hoping to have 75 to 100 this year. I've got six and a half acres so I've got plenty of room. Besides that, I also have one of the worlds largest collections of used thirdgen parts so I can help out anybody who needs parts. In fact, next year we're hoping to raffle off a thirdgen. So you have the chance at going home with another car. Best of all, I pay for all the food, beer, pop, etc. The party itself is free. Of course, the raffle tickets for the car will be about $50 but you don't have to buy one if you don't want to. I'm about 40 minutes south of Chicago so there's plenty of places to stay and I'm centrally located in the country. So if you're not happy with where the Nationals end up you can always hit my party. It's sounds like my party will be about as big if not bigger than the Nationals anyway.

Actually, I think about ten of them were mine. But look...I'm down to seven. Although, I'm buying another one to day so I'll be back up to eight. Honestly, I'm hoping to be down to four or five soon.

How about we make a program were we would place a little pin on a big ole map and then we take the average place where everyone lives. I suspect somewhere like Cincinatti or Indianapolis would be a good hotspot... Maybe Norwood OH...

Why not Ann Arbor MI?.....the 2003 Camaro show was held at Washtenaw Community College.......very convenient for me lol (thats where i attend school) but also there is alot to do around the ann arbor area, and there could be an outing to Milan Dragway.......seems how im like 5 miles from that......i would be to both for sure..
hey its my opinion.

John

i agree with this idea...
kinda like mark did last year...take the number of cars attentding from each state and make the even centerd as best as possible in the largest concentration....

that kinda sounds like maryland

i was down last year but i had car trouble...and ill be down this year...my vote would be midwest...but ill be there whever itll be

Vegas! Otherwise, why not just round-up something else in Vegas (or elsewhere) for all the West Coasters?

I'm going to show up wherever it is, if its in the mid-west. I dont mind a drive as I normally drive 10hrs a day at work.

You NJ people, I tell ya. LOL I was there once to pick up my car, I felt bad for ya. You cant pump your own gas, you have to pay $6.50 for smokes, You have damn near CA emissions(if not worse). You have to put a big UGLY sticker in the front of your car. You have to have front plates, people there drive like CRAZYS. No wonder you guys think...nevermind (dont want to be shot)

Here I pump my own gas, smokes are $3.30, I have NO emissions at ALL!!, I dont have to drill holes in the front of my car for a plate, and people(most of the time) respect that I am occupying a lane and dont just think they own the whole road, and we should move...LOL

I would be ticked if I lived in NJ

We dont drive crazy, you just drive like a girl!!! muahaha! grow some ballz and then come back big guy! hehehe j/k.

Hey, we have one of the lowest gas prices in the US right now, and somene gets to pump it for me!! hehehe why bother pump my own gas? Just gotta flash them the $20, fill it up on 93... ding!.. put it in OD and drive away. Better then ignigting yourself and end up dying because i need to pump my own gas. Plus, its how many jobs a year for these guys? Depending on a station, you say you have about 2 guys per 4 pumps... each station has at least 4, and most have 8. Emissions...well... If i could get it scanned, ill show you how clean my car is. It passed well below the levels mandated by NJ and unless your car is way out of tune, it will fail. If its running right, and you dont have a cam that has .650 lift with 102 lsa then you will be fine. Only person I know that failed inspection is Nikh23 because of the blue smoke that pours out!! I know of guys that go without EGR, AIR, and just have a cat or a even just a heat sheild welded to an pipe and pass. Its all about tuning. Timz2882 has no emissions stuff on his car i belive, and only failed on a saftey item I belive. there is no underhood inspections, and we dont need CARB stickers in our engine bay to show that its ok to have mods in our cars. Jersey is the best! Better then traveling all the way out to the middle of know where farm land USA. hehehehe. Ill go anywhere... just gotta make sure the Z is gassed up.
PS, i pump my own gas up here in Mass. Whata friggin pain.

And Norwood... wow, to have permission to have it at the original car plant!!! Dam I think I would cry. To travel to the Holy Land... that would awesome.. and the west coat can travel to Van Nyes (sp?) and we could just be happy that our car was the last of the "true" camaros and firebirds to be built in the same place as the original cars that came off the plant.

Sorry to tell you but norwood got demolished. If im thinking the right spot its just a flat foundation with all these tall *** weeds and it right across the road from what looks like a crack-house. wouldnt it be nice to have a gathering and you and ur buddy be the first to get there and get you car jacked and they pick us off one by one? lol no need to go to norwood it isnt there and even if you could get permission which you couldnt cause it isnt gm property there are no drag tracks for like an hour from norwood.
i live in ohio and i tried to go to norwood once and its not that far of a drive for me but like i said it got tore down. dont go too far from ohio though i want to come!!! lol:lala:

is that the only reason why all you guys are suggesting vegas is cause of tpiroc? thats it? why not make some of you guys actually drive to the central us including tpiroc if he is coming. east coast and west coast should meet in the middle.

I think it's funny that the ohio guys think that everyone should meet in the middle (in ohio), the new york jersey guys say we should meet there... lol The only ones making any sense are the west coast guys

I mean honestly, Vegas is a good drive for us as well. But the only ones it would be bad for is the way east coast guys, but heck they had it last year. Also Vegas gives more things for everyone to do. For people to make that drive (any long drive) they usually have to do it with family... I'm sorry but Ohio doesn't hold much family appeal But Vegas, you have got a ton of stuff.

I think it would be cool a day on the strip, plus maybe a day at Havasu... Jet ski's- girls in bikinis, etc...

Plus the media attention we could gain, as well as the ability to bring in major sponsors with that media attention is much greater in Vegas than Ohio.

Media tag line for vegas - "Proud Camaro car club gathers in Vegas"

Media tag line for midwest - "Bunch of ******* cars and their owners get together to harass local town folk."

lol You guys know I'm playin' but still you went one way last year, I think it should go the other this time around. Also I am much closer to LA than Vegas, but I still say Vegas not So Cal.

Well, nobody can be blamed for suggesting a region "close to home", but there's no sense in being unrealistic about it. Ohio is NOT central, I'd even dub Ohio East Coast. In fact, Nevada is about as far from the West Coast as Ohio is from the East, so does that mean Nevada is central too? No. So technically speaking Nebraska and Kansas are about as smack-dab-middle-like as it gets. Since it was East last year, why is it so outrageous to suggest a Westward gathering? (I guess I'm guilty of suggesting "close to home" too now, but it seems logical regardless.)

This cracked me up(no offense Jst) but your comparing family appeal of boring Ohio to SIN CITY....hookers arent family in my book. I am moving to OH in 2 weeks...BLAHH to many damn Ohio State fans. I cant wait for the Michigan vs. OSU game. Ill be at the bar in my Maze and Blue!

Apparently you have never been to vegas, but couple of things you should be let in on.

1. Vegas has completely turned itself around (starting about ten years ago in fact) and has gone completely family oriented.

2. Hookers are not allowed in clark county. This is STRICTLY enforced. It is one of the things they are most proud of when it comes to cleaning up their streets.

With places like Circus Circus, that huge water park, all of the hotels adding rides and even theme parks, SIN CITY just doesn't hold up.

Also you get a guy with a family to tell them hey were going to OHIO instead of Vegas and see what they say lol Dude, no one wants to go to Ohio. I can't believe people even live there!

(Just playing guys )

Go Irish!

i hate to tell u retards but ohio isnt the central us! no one wants to come to ohio for a meet. are u stupid or something? im trying to get the meet somewhere outside of ohio this place is stupid. by central us i ment like oklahoma kansas missouri somewhere in the middle of the country ohio is mor east coast than say illinois which is like the edge of what i consider east coast. anything east of the mississippi river is east coast to me and anything that touches cali is west coast to me so i was saying smack dab in the middle. lay off the ohio crap cause i would pay mark to keep it out of ohio. i dunno where you got that i want it here cause i dont.

I am sorry if I ruffled your feathers bro I was just messing around. I do apologize and hope you don't take it the wrong way. I am open to the middle as well, maybe even texas, but why did it go from east coast to middle. I think west coast is best and vegas offers many great opportunities.

Just my two cents.
