Tire/wheel sizes you run in AutoX

What tire/wheel combos are people running in autocross?

I'm currently running factory 16x8s with Kumho 265/45/16 Victorracers. I'm considering buying a set of Complete Custom Wheels for next year.
Front: 17x9.5 w/5" backspace with 275/40/17 Kumhos
Rear: 17x11 w/6" backspace with 315/35/17 Kumhos

I was wondering if any one else has run tires this big in autocross on a Third gen?

My friend Sam Strano runs 17's on his '91 1LE. I don't know if he runs the 315's all the way around though.

However, he "only" had 16X10's or 16X9's (with 275 Hoosiers) on the '82 Camaro he won this year's ESP national championship in:

(Pic of previous owner ... can't tell if those are 16's or 17's, though.)

The guy I bought my Firebrid from ran 17's with the 315 Kumhos. He had to trim a bit on the bottom of the front wheel wells to keep the tires from rubbing.

I'm fitting 16x10s with 275/45-16's. Most of the ESP F-bodies I've seen are fitting 17's, but a lot of the CP cars I see running really wide rubber seem to be on 16's.

I went with 16's because of cost. I race my daily driver, so I couldnt' see spending the extreme amount of money for 17's, when I can get a set of 16's for about half the price.

Cool pic Pat...... Didnt' even know that one existed!!!!

I ran 315's on 11's all the way around on the Blue car in the pic. That is half what allowed me to win as many events as I did and finish 3rd @ Nat's in '99 with stock springs/swaybar (only has a different PHB and STB).

The Purple car was run @ Nationals this year with 16x9's with 275's (got the car only months before we went to KS, no time to make HUGE changes). I still have the 11's, and if the Purple car doesn't sell we will try those on it. But that car is also much lighter than the '91 (blue), so may not be able to make use of such a large tire.

BTW, running different sizes front and rear is a big mistake IMHO.
