92 RS dragster
I am building my 92 RS into a complete drag only car. I want to know from others experience how much weight can be removed from these cars. I am trying to figure out how much horsepower it will take and which engine I want to build to get a low 10 second high 9 second pass. Last time I weighed it the thing weighed 3400 lbs. Thanks!

To get into the 9's you're either going to have to make a tube chassis car about 2300 pounds with around 500 hp or make at least 700hp at the rear wheels for roughly a 3000 pound car.
A very exotic SBC could do it or have some kind of power adder but you're better off building a big BBC like a 540.
