i need to change the info under my name...it no longer has the 700r4, i have a th350 now.
also forgot to mention that the motor that is in there is not the one from the factory...i blew that motor up...and the one i got is apparently a TBI motor and not TPI. it has the 193 casting swirl ports on it.

yeah, i read your sig, i know you have a th350. i think that a 700r4 would pick it up without having to change your rear gears and the car would still be very streetable. heck, i have 4.10's and a beefed 700r4 and i drive mine everday on the street with great manners.
but staying with the th350, i would recommend at LEAST a 3.42 rear, if not a 3.73 to help with the first 300 feet of the track.

Gear the car for the whole quarter mile, not just the first part of the track.

sorry, i musta worded that wrong. a 3.23 gear and a th350 is NOT geared for the entire track, i was saying to upgrade to a 3.42 or 3.73 to gain the first part of the track. it's not going to take away from the second part of the track though. to really pick a rear gear, we need cam/head/cr/intake specs.
and by reading what he has so far, he needs some heads too. cause they are holding him back. never-the-less, he has a very impressive time/mph for his setup.

mw66nova....thanks for the compliment on the time/mph. i know that i need heads, but i am in the process of saving up for a completely new setup. as of right now, it has 193 swirl ports on it, stock cam, stock compression, and an untouched tpi.
