why run a stock cam? And by stock cam which exact stock cam did you run? The stock 85 305 cam?
Some more gear wouldnt hurt.
Id be surprised if you werent in the 14's atleast... certainly if stock 350 tpis can do it.

it better, i don't have much more camshaft than you, but i'm carbed and went 12.31 with a 4000 stall converter and 3.73's with a 28" tall tire. next year i'm going to a 3.45 9 bolt, but also going to a 26" tall tire and should be right around the same. i would think that your combo would be in the high 13's with a stock stall and 3.23's.

Engine: 355/2.8/L28E(t)
Transmission: TH350/T5/4 spd

i went 14.4 with a 327, similar heads, a non RPM performer, 224/230 .477/.480 cam, shorties 2.5" exhaust, stock th350 trans and converter, 3.73 rear. went 14.8 with 3.08's but i suspect i could have gone 14.6 if i tried harder.

well a stock 305 tpi with the L98 cam ran 14.7. well thats what it ran when it was new from the factory.
i say if you hook good then you should see some mid to low14s.

What kinda of compression? Smogger 350 with those 58cc heads will net about 9.7:1, fairly decent, that cam sucks, the heads flow crappy, true duals are a pain on these cars, feasible, but a pain and you need alot more gear and better converter.

A lot of that will depend on altitude and weather, but yeah it's feasasble.
I went 14.34@ 97 with a 190,000 mile TPI 350 with hogged out runners, bolt ons, a five speed and 3.08's in 60* temps.

85T/A 350...
You really haven't done too mcuh to it
throw in some 3.73 gears..and a Cam and you will be running dood..
Something with .488 lift to get to 6000 rpm...for your intake
Your car will run pretty good then...
Cams are only 210 dollars from comp cams...its a GREAT mod..
P.S. ditch the heads too
