Awesome man you really have that car moving now!!! A few years back you were in the 10.3's, what changes have helped the most? Is that still naturally aspirated.

Hey Cartman, my other favorite white thirdgen . I hope you don't mind if I paint my car white some time very soon ...

well the distibutor was 10 years old so that did'nt help, wires needed replacing and a cranktrigger. and it runs like never before. at atco those are easy 8 second passes

unknow host the thing that helped the most was nitrous

thx

Re: 1st pass of 2007

What kind of times does it run without NOS or have you never made some none NOS passes yet with the new setup?

Back when I used a large cap HEI, I was always junkyard hunting for different weights, cams and springs for the distributor. I remember finding a mid to late 70's f-body one day that had a distributor so worn out that the advance mechanism wouldn't even move. I wonder how much the last owner must have cursed about the poor performance of the car when all it needed was a new distributor.

I now run a MSD distributor that's locked out to full advance. A crank trigger would be nice to have.

Oops. Just saw the 9.91 at the bottom of the sig.

Re: 1st pass of 2007

awesome man......i remember when you first got that motor

i came within moments of ordering the 472 sbc or a 600+ big block from shafiroff.....before i decided to build my blower setup.

id love to bolt this blower on your long block though......easily make 1,000rwhp lol.......

i hope to get down to E-town and/or atco this year at some point.....im gonna have to go on a 1-pass per day tour when i get booted for running 9.99 until i get the rest of the stuff done

have you had the car on the dyno at all? what kinda RPM are you turning with that thing?......loving life in the solid roller world so far.
