New Kills
At the drag strip friday night I got a few good kills.
First race was with a 05 Mustang GT with borla catback, CAI, short throw shifter, and a diablo sport 2 programmer.
First race I got him I ran a 9.02 and he ran a 9.1.
Next race I ran a 9.05 and he ran a 8.92 but I still got him I got him on the tree.
Third race he ran a 8.82 and I ran a 9.2 he got me. That was his best time all night.
He had better mph's by 3mph but I still got him twice.
Next race was with a 05 Srt-4 catback only mod.
He ran a 9.32 and I ran a 9.1 and he slept at the light so I got him good.
Next I raced a 98 Civic heavyly moded I ran a 9.01 at 75.7 and he ran a 8.9 at 92. Yeah I had him by a half a second by 60 foot and he caught and past me like I was sitting still. That thing was quick.
I feel I did ok I have great reaction times cutting .550 -.601 all night on a .500 tree with constant 2.0-2.07 60 fts.
Although I was running similar times my mph was down by 2 mph probably due to the heat. I have stock timing and fuel pressure so I am going to mess with my timing and fuel pressure next time to see if I can anything else out of it.

Re: New Kills
get those R/T's down to under .510 and those 60's down more. In the 1/8 there isnt much track to make up for with poor 60 ft times. I'm assuming this is on street tires

Re: New Kills
yeah street tires and stock 89 suspension. Yeah I have been working at lowering my R/T but it is hard with the lack of track prep. Sometimes I spin hard out of the hole and others it just squats and goes. These are some of the best 60 fts I have had. After messing with the fuel pressure ( bumped it to 52) I noticed it lauches allot harder spin easly with A/C on and just in drive. I can punch it at 20 and it will down shift and light em up. Next time I go to the track I am going to play with timing and fuel pressure to see if it really helped. At the track, I am going to set it to stock FP then slowly pump it up to see if the increased FP helps at all.
I lauch at a 1100 rpm stall and it hooks with track prep. If I go from idle it smokes them. I think it is because of weight transfer.
Do you think I should get so drag radials or slicks, eventhough I really dont have traction issues?
Thanks
Jason

Re: New Kills
throw some 26" slicks on there and get some LCA's with relo. brackets, it will help your 60's out alot

Re: New Kills
I will save up and by the LCA and brackets and hopefully I can find a used set of slicks to get. I appreciate the help.
Thanks
