Lower control arm relocation brackets are another good move.

Board sponsors Spohn, UMI, and TPI Parts all have good stuff. Spohn has the only TA that mounts on the crossmember instead of the tranny as far as I know.

They all include instructions with their products.

Re: I need help with suspension upgrade?

i believe bmr has a bolt-in crossmember mounted t/a now.

-LCA Relocation brackets
-sfc's
-replace stock stamped junk with your local favorite tubular pieces.

Re: I need help with suspension upgrade?

Hey Dave, could you be more specific on what your overalll goal is going to be on your Firebird???? There's so much difference in costs depending if you want the 1320, auto cross, all purpose, 140mph runs across the back highways, ect.

I just spent $700 bucks just purchasing four 'Umi' parts for my 88 IROC's suspension. And, where is your mechanical talents lying at on a 1 to 10 scale??? Can you do some descent welding???? You can save yourself untold thousands by mocking up your own parts....

So give us some specifics so we don't end up having you waste your valuable time and money on things that you just don't need or will shatter your back when you drive over a set of railroad crossings!! Nitro-Nicky

Re: I need help with suspension upgrade?

well i would like a car that could handle autocross, but is a daily driver that eats tuners at their own game, and i already do that pretty well. So i just wanna improve my suspension to handle the driving and the power of the 350 that im building, and looking to lighten up some of the unsprung weight(also im doing some interior pulling and modding so that it is alot lighter). Mechanically, 1-10 im probaly like 5-7 depending on the judges, but im still young and am still learning. And "I" cant weld but i have many friends who can but if i have to i know the basics of welding.
