any suggestions on 60ft

sunday was the time i could really get out and run the car. While i was happy with my times, i spent all my time tweaking the motor and nitrous. I didnt get a chance to try differnt holes on my lcarb.
Im not real satisfied with my 60' I think i can get alot better.Granted I made alot of mistakes and my stup is prob not ideal for drag racing.

heres the 60's from sunday
1.829
1.834
1.817
1.725
1.816

I did try to adjust tire pressure between runs, I started at thirteen and worked down to 11.

my setup.
26/10/15 hoosiers
3:45 gear
lowering springs (with 3 rubber blockson pass side.)
adj.panhars
boxed ca
welded in sfc
lcarb bolted in at the moment
2500 abp stall
umi adj. torque arm -1 dwnward p/a
I def can feel the car bouncing forward on launch. kinda like a leap frog.
im guessing that the springs are making it to stiff in the back.I just started using the rubber blocks after I cut a slick. I can always swap them for the stock ones when I go to the track.

This is a daily driver, but I think I can find a happy medium.

any sugs..

A deeper gear and 3000 stall. nitrous. Trans brake. Those all work pretty well.

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

Do you leave the front sway bar on for the track? What hole do you have the LCA's in with the relo brackets? How soon do you grab the kit?

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

Yes on the sway bar. Bottom hole on the lcarb. sprayed on the lauch, for the 1.7 60' Im still on alearning curve here. I think its the spring blocks that are casing the leap frog. Not letting the car transfer. Does that sound right?

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

you need some drag struts up front to get weight transfer, ideally the rear shouldn't sag at all when launching.

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

I would yank the sway bar and try a right rear air bag vs. those rubber blocks. Also try moving the LCA's up one hole, that's seemed to work for everyone I know that runs @ Orlando lately.

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

Im not sure if the rear is sagging. With the slicks on and no blocks, I have about a 1 1/2" of clearance between the tire and fender . At launch it cuts the slick right where the slick and sidewall meet. With the blocks in I get about 2" and doesnt cut at all.

The sway bar and wonder bar, and stb could go. ill try the stock springs in back for now, and 1 hole up on the lca's and see if there is a diff.

Thanks for the help...

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

A set of Airlift air bags would allow you the flexability to adjust the ride height, spring rate, axle/control arm net geometry and right/left axle preload to optimize traction and keep the lowered stance for street cruising.
Just let the air out for the drive home.

Re: any suggestions on 60ft

What kind of shocks are you running in the rear? If its frog hopping like you say, sounds like the rear shocks arent staying compressed long enough and the springs are bouncing the rear of the car back up. I'm just running the stock replacement springs from year one on the rear with Comp. Engineering 3way adjustable shocks set on 40/60.

Are those shocks steetable.I was looking at them and they said race only.Could i get away with running those and the air bags on the street, and just change the adj.on the shocks, and air pressure in the bags when im at the track. Or am i just making this more complicated than it needs to be?
