Car: 88 IROC Engine: 5.7 RamJet Transmission: T56 Axle/Gears: Dana44 4.10 | Lebanon Valley Dragway - underwater We have gotten far more than normal rainfall here in the North East lately. To the point now that flash flood warnings are issued pretty much every time it threatens rain. There's just no more place for the rainfall to go and the ground is water logged. Even if we get a stretch of 2-3 days without rain, there's still standing water where there normally never was.
Anyway.. the stream/river behind Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon NY, where I do a good part of my racing, overran it's banks and flooded the track. http://www.dragway.com

It's unfortunate. They spent some money fixing things up from last last season. Part of the shut down is gone from erosion. It's still underwater with more rain in the forecast, so no way to fully asses all the damages. Quite a few people had trailers with race cars and motor homes that were left at the track.
Looks like no racing anytime soon. | | |
