Bracket car, right now have 90/10 struts up frt. looking for more control. What frt. struts are working and affordable? I thought I read somewhere you can modify Mustang frt. struts to fit a 3rd. gen.

i would recommend koni spa-1's and moroso trick springs up front for something running 10's or slower. once it gets much faster than that you wont be able to slow them down enough.

Strange makes a double adjustable strut for our vehicles now without any modification. If you get the mustang struts you need to modify your spindles and i believe the mustang strut threaded portion is a hair thicker as well.

That is correct. The thread on the Mustang struts is 16mmx2.0. They will work with a replaced bushing on after market strut mounts. The factory one's I am not sure about, but my guess is they won't.

Thanks. it went 4.93 last weekend on it's way to a .8x but it went high in the air right before 330 ft mark. High gear wouldn't bring it down. Scraped the newly repainted rear bumper.

What do you use for limiters?
I'd like to eventually change to a tubular K member and tubular control arms. I have Moroso trick springs with the 90/10 struts and it lifts and carries the frt. pretty good now. Just thinking I'm losing reaction time with the frt. travel.

I tested limiters and my car doesn't like them. I use the adjustable struts as a tuning aide. I had 90/10 up until the 5.20's than it wouldnt stay out of wheelie with them.

must be that big block working for you, my car can't keep from putting it on the bumper with the lakewood 90/10s and it's only been 5.90s. Maybe a longer torque arm woulda done something, note sure. Also just bought some strange double adjustables up front along with pretty much every other front end chassis part . Bought the double aa performance stuff and the only reason i bought the limiters is cuz they're trick as ***** . Hoping to just use the struts to keep the front end down. Ofcourse pics when i get the stuff

limiters are band-aid's for shocks that are extending too fast. my car did the same thing, even limited to around 3" of travel it was coming up. and my 60's were only around a 1.30. another thing limiting the suspension like that does, is cuts your weight transfer time down to nothing. so, if you dont get hooked up with all the weight transferred soon enough, you might spin once the limiters stop extension. or, the next pass it might be back up on the bumper again.
i was about to pull the trigger on some afco's up front before i took the car apart. i figure some afco's along with a good shock tuner would get the job done.

That is true, I only have Strange singles up front but the car needs a stiffer front shock already. Don;t forget that the rear shocks can also help keep the front down also. They are every part as helpful as the fronts. If you can slow down the time it takes to maximum extension that will help keep the nose down also.

BTW, I use a 9 inch shorter than stock torque arm.
