2013 Season In the Books
We're done racing here for the year. The last "fall series" race was this past Sunday. I didn't do as well in the series as I had hoped (failed master cylinder 1st round during the 2nd to last weekend, after a "snow-out", didn't help), but did manage one last trophy, semi-finalist in one of two classes.
This year is the first since at least 2008 where I made every pass in the same car (may have even been before 2008). Overall, can't complain about the results. The last two years I haven't raced regularly on Saturdays, which was regular hunting grounds for me for a long time.
In season points, ended up with a 1st, 3rd, and 6th place that will be recognized at the annual "awards dinner" next month, plus a 5th place in one of the fall series classes (only honor the first 3 in that class at the dinner).
This was the 55th anniversary for the track, so they had special trophies this year.
Not to shabby, IMO, for a "back-up car"...

The haul from the awards dinner last Friday:
Champion trophy, jacket, hat, and gold card in one class; 3rd place and 6th place in two other classes.
I had to buy the poster...
