I'm surprised they don't have a separate class for flex fans. They seem to have a class for every other variation.

Because unlike a clutch fan, at high speeds it keeps on going, faster and faster. Whereas the clutch fan will stop/spin freely at higher speeds.
Ever try spinning a CD too fast in an optical drive? Sort of the same thing. They are known to just fly off, rip through hoods and mangle many other things.
Why there isn't a separate division for them, because they're dangerous in racing...period. So I've read. Adios.
