Heh, "been volunteered" how well I've known that military phrase for 36 years... when do you land at Pearl? My son and I with two ThirdGens live right across the street. We'll chill a box of brew and have some racing movies lined-up for the widescreen... Hey, sure could have used your muscle a month ago when my big-arm-buddy Tony and I busted our asses changing the fuel tank on my IROC. Even on a lift it was tough.

We should be in Hawaii sometime in June. (Sorry can not give an official date.) I know what you mean about the fuel tank. I had to replace my fuel pump when I went with a 350 vortec TBI setup on my 92.

Okey-dokey ... when you get settled, call my work phone 808-655-4376, ask for Ed. If I'm not around, a voicerecorder will kick in.

When I changed the tank, I also upgraded the IROC with a hatch-access fuel pump door and made the pump assy removable. Good thing I did it too, 'cause I had to take everything apart a few days later to change the pump-tank seal. Took me a solo 10 minutes in the carport instead of two guys all day on the craftshop lift.

W arrived yesterday but we are no where near Pearl Harbor. We are at Kaneohe Island on the Marine base. Good thing about being out here is that we have front row seats for the annual Bay Fest festival on the base and watch the asst. bands play 30 Jun-4July. We are the only LCU on the pier. Fishing not so good the first day but we had the drinks to keep us busy.

Thanks for the aloha. It's actually great to be here at the K-bay Marine base. Different from being pierside at Pearl or going to Waikiki. So peaceful and the scenery is just beautiful. Been here to Oahu many times so I'm somewhat done with the downtown Waikiki scene. I did see a few Camaro's on the base but no Firebird/Trans Am. If you need an extra hand on your 3rd gen, here is my number 619-813-3075.

Glad you arrived safely! I also work at Schofield, but live across from Pearl Harbor. Lemme know if you want to get off K-Bay, you and a buddy are welcome to come over for an evening. Heh, I hope all the hard stuff on my IROC is finished for a while ... I think it's about ready to go to the Arizona at the end of the year.
