Engine: 350 L98
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: G92 - 3.23
WTB: L98 long block (87-92)

Looking for a complete L98 Camaro engine (87-92). I would like it to be rebuildable and have heads, valve train, crank, rods, pistons, oil pan. Do not need TPI, water pump, distributor, etc.

Assembled (sealed up) and located within 2-3 hours would be preferable.

Let me know if you have something.

Thanks, Mike Jones

I have a '92 L98 with about 133k on it. It's almost as you are describing - except the water pump is on it. I took the fasteners for the spider that hold the roller lifter guides, but other than that it's complete.

It ran well when I pulled it, about 3 years ago. Can't remember if it smoked / used oil - I pulled it shortly after buying the car.

I don't know where you are, but if you are close enough to p/u - make me an offer. I don't know what it's worth, but if the number appeals to me - I'll sell it.

I've got the original car that it came in - if you want a fairly easy project car. Just needs some tuning and a paint job.

Sorry for not including my location, I have updated my profile...I'm in Williamsburg, VA. About 8 hours away.

Do you know if the motor is original and never rebuilt?

Thanks, Mike Jones

To the best of my knowledge, it has not been modified or rebuilt - but I am the 3rd owner, so I can not guarantee it.

Sounds like it would be good to rebuild if it has not been bored already. Can you check the head and block casting numbers?

Has it been kept inside / out of the weather and covered?

Thanks, Mike Jones

It's sitting in the corner of my garage, on a stand - so it hasn't been exposed to the outside elements.

I'll try to drag it out this weekend, and find the numbers.

Ok, here you go:

Block - 638
Dr Side Head - A29
Pass Side Head - A30 (I think - it was hard to read)

Also, on the bellhousing "flange" - 14093638.

I've got some pics as well. As soon as my camera batteries recharge I'll e-mail them to you.
