Conversion engine mounts for 455 Olds into "83 Z28

Working on my 455 Olds conversion into my '83 Z28. I have searched high and low for engine mounts and cannot seem to find any for this application. I have found solid mounts that should work but do not know if I want to go that route. The link for "Chief Many Horses" in the Pontiac engine swap sticky is no good. Anyone know where I could find mounts for this specific app, or know of something that will work?

Also, are parts for Olds 455s and Pontiac 455s interchangable. Sorry for my ignorance on this subject, but these engines are a little before my time. Gimme a newer GM or a Kia and I'm fine but I'm not quite as schooled in the older stuff.

Pontiac and Olds engine parts do not interchange any more than Chev and Ford parts will.

If you do find some sort of engine mount that will work, you'll also need to replace the transmission since a Chev transmission won't bolt up to a Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Caddy (BOP) which all share the same bellhousing bolt pattern.

I have almost everything covered except for the motor mounts and headers. Just picked up a built BOP 400 shorty, and going to UMI Performance for just about everything else.

I am also interested in a comparable swap. From what I hear, I am in for a lot of custom fab work...

As with any other non traditional swap, much of it will be custom work fabricating and adapting parts to fit.

His trans wouldve worked fine just so long as he used the B.O.P adaptor I put a 301 pontiac in a Bird it wasnt hard at all. The only problem I had was the alternator bracket hitting the hood

just buy motor mounts for a late second gen trans am with a 403 olds(6.6l), they should pretty much fall onto the crossmember. You might need to drill a hole or 2, but they should fit. Rockauto has 'em.
