1988 Iroc-Z production numbers?
I just purchased an 88 Iroc and I was wondering how many were made with the specs below. It's just a rolling chasis, so I don't know what motor was in it. Let me know if there's just a website I can go to or something.
1988 Iroc-Z
White exterior
Hardtop
Red interior
Automatic
Thanks,
Stephen

The motor is the easy part, Check the VIN,
The 8th Digit will be:
E - LO3 - Base 305 V8
F - LB9 - Top 305 V8
8 - L98 - Top Engine 350 V8
White Book:
IROC-Z - 24050
White 15864 - Total Camaro
Hardtop 55270 - Total Camaro
Red Interior - NA
auto - 77179

Re: 1988 Iroc-Z production numbers?
Ok well, I'll have to check the VIN then, but I was actually wanting to know how many White 88 Iroc hardtops with an automatic with red interior were made. I was looking for the production numbers of that specific configuration, if that's even possible...

ONe of the problems is there is no record as such. As it is now the information is gathered in such a way to minimize space but maximize useful information.
For example we have about 30 lines of Useful RPO's and the production breakdown of each year. However if the information was presented on a car by car basis, on how many were White, Hard top, 305 etc there would be a total of at least 500 lines of possibilities. Short production cars like the 1991 -1992 Firehawks are available with this information because they only made 25, 1 was a T-top car, 1 was a Vert, 23 were Hard top cars etc. Unfortunately most of our cars there was so many made that the information is not practical to publish.

Ok, I appreciate the info. I was just curious to see how many other ones where out there like it. I'll start crunching numbers with the RPO codes then.
