im back!
yeah im back. some of you might remember the Pontiac engine swap thread from many moons ago, well just pulled it from storage for over 5 years. lol
fairly confident ill finish it this time without getting destracted by life.
mine and my buddies.
on the lift assessing all the CRAP i did about 6 years ago...
got my 12 bolt in and all the rear buttoned up.
got the last of the GFX off, so now i can start filling holes and making it a 91/92 formula
i still have to get all the formula body work over to the shop and get that all on, get my headers coated, paint the new engine, and i still have to find a radiator and fan. oh and then the wiring and put the interior back together... joy... lol..

Re: im back!
driver side fit even worse... the tabs were stopping it from laying tucked against the floor, those had to be cut off... and the diagnol bar needed to be trimmmed to the proper angle and shortened by almost a 1/4 inch.

Re: im back!
pulled my spring isolators out. put some heater hose on the top coil, that droped it a little more than a inch! and now have my 29x10.5 tires fitted...

Re: im back!
did you make the bracket for the alternator? mines above the power steering and wont fit under the hood. Or is that something you can buy?

Re: im back!
been busy with work, life, and purchasing a house latley. still plugging along on the turdgen a bit. but just in my "beer time."
have to hook up my ignition box to power, as well as my fans, wire the nitrous 'noids and figure out something with lining the alternator up with the crank and water pump pulley then it should be running..
heres where the engine bay sits as of now...

Re: im back!
no picture updates, but its pretty much on the back burner as i got busy again at my shop.
i have to wire my ignition box, wire my efan, and play with some accessory brackets to convert to serp belt setup. then toss the interior back in it.
