Valve covers
Ok i have a 1990 RS V8 camaro. I was working on it and had to replace a valve cover gasket. My dad and I decided that we'd put new covers completely along with new gaskets on both sides. We got the passanger side in yesterday. Today I got the driver side valve cover off. Now I cant get the new valve cover and gasket on. Theres fuel lines and computors and exhaust piping in the way. I tried to remove the exhaust piping but i cant get to 2 out of the 4 bolts holding it in. What should I do?

Re: Valve covers
It will just take some elbow grease. Set the gasket in the groove on your valve cover, maybe put a little rtv on it to help it stay on the cover, and get it down on there. those lines should have a little play in them. If you got it out it will go back on!

Re: Valve covers
yea they do but the only thing is the alternator is in the way of the lines and my uncle says i should just remove the alternator and the use that open area to move the fuel lines out of the way

Re: Valve covers
you will have to go that route. had to do the same when i ran new fuel lines to my TB. gives you alot of room to work with.
