Hi Larry, I'm "Anyone".

Ditch the pulsator. It serves virtually no purpose. Definitely retain the sock. It won't hinder flow and it will keep fine particulants out of your pump!!

Anyone

The sock is the pre-filter....keep it, it doesn't hinder anything. Now if you had that big of a filter on the feed side you'd have a restriction

take out the pulsator......no need for it

All the pulsator does is quiet down the fuel pump.... and hinder flow. LOL

i'm going to be putting in a new pump in the future and have a few Q's

does a new pump, like a walbro 255lph inline, use the same upper fuel tank/line plate as the old one, where they look like an octopus climbing out of the gas tank?

how hard would it be to go to full, steel braided fuel lines at the point that i have the new pump going in and all the carpet off ?

my car and i recently jumped a curb sideways/parallel and i worry more now about under-car lines getting snagged on road debris ... would there be any kind of heat issue to running all the braided fuel lines bundled through a 2 or 3" oval exhaust pipe, so that i retain what little ground clearance i have while still protecting the lines ?

logikal6785,I can set you up with a pump kit in the future if you need one. Basically the stock lines and a 340M in the tank of a Thirdgen will fuel a ten sec combonation, this is with the factory fuel rails too.So the installation of aftermarket lines(bigger),bigger feed, and or big outside inline pump is not warrented and is money best spent elsewhere at this power level and lower. It takes roughly 500-600 flywheel HP to get a 3300-3500lb thirdgen into this time bracket, traction considering. The 340M is the biggest intank you can fit,and the only one that will flow 65gph per Hour at 13.5vdc now availible by Walbro that will fit into the tank with zero modifications, and its as quiet as stock. Its all plug and play, and the hardest part is getting the tank out.In my opinion the stock pump is taxed out when the car is pushing 275rwhp or more.Email me and we can talk. Thanks

Also to where the pulsator attached to, notice how it necks down from about 3/8s to err 1/4 inch or so. Cut off that smaller part. That way ya will have a 3/8s line all the way up to the front of the car.

So far I've done this same "mod" on 3 cars with no problems at all.

that's good info turbo6iroc, but i'm going to have a complete LT4 with a 150 shot of NOS so the fuel rails will get replaced ... plus i think my stock fuel lines are a little f*cked up from my adventures in car mishaps. however, i will definitely bookmark your site for getting that in-tank walbro kit.

anyone see any probs with bundling them in the pipe ?
