Ram Air?

Is it considered a form of forced induction, and is it worth the trouble and money?

It's passive forced induction. It's worth about 2% more power at 100 MPH, 8% more power at 200 MPH, assuming it's done right and sealed up well to whatever forward-facing scoop us used.

Car: 88 ramair grey camaro
Engine: 388 stroker

forced air indution really isnt worth the money it would take to instaul it. unless you pann on driven 100mph all the time...and evon then your looking at a very little gain 2-5 h/p tops......

Car: 1985 Z-28
Engine: a big one
Transmission: 4 spd auto soon to be a 6 speed
when i put my 2.5" cowl on, i found that my tpi intake was many many degrees cooler. i also have a coolant bypassed tb

before the hood change, my intake was hot to the touch, but after it was pretty damn cool, so there was some sort of a power increase in the cooler air, and that is it.

later
