It's passive forced induction. It's worth about 2% more power at 100 MPH, 8% more power at 200 MPH, assuming it's done right and sealed up well to whatever forward-facing scoop us used.

forced air indution really isnt worth the money it would take to instaul it. unless you pann on driven 100mph all the time...and evon then your looking at a very little gain 2-5 h/p tops......

when i put my 2.5" cowl on, i found that my tpi intake was many many degrees cooler. i also have a coolant bypassed tb
before the hood change, my intake was hot to the touch, but after it was pretty damn cool, so there was some sort of a power increase in the cooler air, and that is it.
