here is my question will a roots style blower (b&m 144 or a holley 174) fit under a 4" cowl hood on a 86 Z28 with a small block i would like to install one but refuse to cut a hole in my $400 glass hood any help would be greatly appreciated if so does anydody have any pics of one of these chargers on a third gen car

The 144 yes, I think it fits under a stock hood with a low profile air cleaner very close though. The 174 I'm not sure but with a 4 inch cowl I would say probably with one again a low profile air cleaner. I have not personally done it so I would be courious to see what others have to say. I'm just going off what I have herd.

IIRC kingtalon hat a 142 under a 2 1/4" cowl, and it BARELY fit. the 177 is 2" taller than the 142 according to Holley.
