Just wandering what you all think about this turbo
Just wanted to see what you all thought before i get to tearing my car apart agian.....
The turbo is a T04E14 (garrett P/N 466290-1X) from either a 6.6L or 7.8L Brazilian Ford Truck. I think the F800's used them. It
has a .70 a/r on the compressor and a 1.00 a/r on the turbine. From the measurements (should be in the pictures below) it seems like the compressor wheel is a 50 trim according to turbonetics webpage.
I'm only looking for about 300 hp, hopefuly around 6 psi, might go higher if I decide to rebuild the engine (seems like the turbo would be great at 12 to 18 psi, if that's the correct map). The engine is a 91 305 TPI, stock
I know this isn't the best turbo for my car.. But anyways.. What do you all think? Is the compressor map the right one for this turbo? Not realy to much info on on this one.. How bad do you think the lag would be?

Well, it will flow enough air to make 300 hp, but I don’t see the point of turbocharging a 305 to get 300hp, you could do it with less of a hassle by just swapping parts and keeping with the stock setup.
I suspect that large an exhaust housing will cause it to be a little slow to spool on a 305, and that turbo will top out at between 450 and 500hp in that boost range, pretty much where a moderately modded 305 should be with that amount of boost also.
