Thinking of supercharging
I am thinking of buying an ATI Procharger for my 87 350 TPI GTA and i have a few questions. From what ive read and heard from others Procharger is the best. What I want to know is what other mods I will need to do to run the supercharger. I will only run low boost until I am able to upgrade the internals. Will my 700r4 hold up to the extra power? It shifts great and has no problems. If anyone else has run this kit Id love to hear your experiences with it. Thanks.

Car: '89 Camaro
Engine: Blown 5.7L TPI
Transmission: 700r4
I own the kit and have been running it since July, the transmission seems to be handling the extra power well, but i dont know if i've had it on their long enough to know for sure.
But it is my daily driver.

Car: 89 Iroc & 88 Firecird & 86 Camaro
Engine: 350 TPI & 305 TBI & 305 Carb
Transmission: 700R4
I purchased the P1sc with the 2 core intercooler and have been running it for about a year now. I am very happy with it and my transmission is holding up fine, i believe that the later 700r4s should be able to handle a bit of power. As far as mods for your car- you will probably want to upgrade your fuel system, Ati should provide an inline pump but it wouldn't be a bad idea to install a better intank pump along with it. Also if you are running the stock injectors you should change them as well. Before driving it you need to hook up a wideband 02 sensor to make sure you are not running lean.
