7 lbs with water injection?
I'm currently running 5lbs on my configuration with no problems. I'm curious if I could go 7lbs on water injection? My compression is 9.3:1.

I always thought your blown 350 was in your astro for some reason, but a blown impala sounds pretty cool, that's my brothers favorite car.

I know, the screen name is misleading. I've had or built a few small block Astro/Safari's...I just don't have one right now!
As far as the water injection...would tapping a hole into a carb spacer work? I've looked at a couple different kits but they all suggest the nozzle be installed in the intake duct, which obviously isn't do-able here.

Nice sleeper! I vote yes on bumping up your psi, do you NEED water if your delivering enough fuel? If so couldn't you fab an aircleaner housing so effectively the h2o spray would be before the atomization? Don't know if it's ok to spray water after the carb, maybe someone else...

I wouldn't spray water before the blower, just more chance of corrosion. It's bad enough you have fuel going into an air pump (obviously that's unavoidable).
Can you put the water injection below the blower? (what intake manifold is that?)
If that's impossible, then a carb spacer below the q-jet, drilled for some sprayer/fogger nozzles would work. Are you looking at a kit, or doing up your own custom setup? Nitrous nozzles or mcmaster car fogger nozzles work well. I am considering making up a progressive setup like this for my next motor build in the long term future, since it'd be nice to add pressure/flow as boost/flow (of air) increased.
Is that impala sporting a TH-350 or a 700R4? With 4.10's i'd think th350 would make it kinda useless as a cruiser (ie, impala), hence me wondering.
Have you checked the mileage yet? Or power output I guess in terms of feet of rubber left down your street?

I forgot about mcmaster supply. I'll have to troll around and see what ind of nozzles I can find.
The car has 700R4. 4.10's with a TH350 would be unbearable. I drive 18 miles all highway to work everyday in this, unless it snows. I haven't measured my mileage as my speedo is calibrated for 2.73's. Needless to say it's a bit fast...hahah by 1.5x. It's not so great anymore. Maybe 13-14 mpg. That largely has to do with driving in St.Louis where if you're not going 85 mph you might as well ride the bus.
How fast? I dunno. Somewhere between Audi A6 and a new Z06 Corvette I suppose. Just speculation, I wouldn't ever exceed the posted speed limit

I WAS at 7 psi with 93 octane and 8.75:1 compression with the stock cam.
This was a takeoff at about 1/2-2/3 throttle. I tried some WOT takeoffs, but went through 3 4L60Es in 2 months.

I would personally spray the cooling water mist before the supercharger. It helps cool the teflon rotors which will promote longer life.
