Nitrous Experts/ Suggestions please!

I'm working on a 94' Z28 SS Clone. This car has the original LT-1 with about 186,000 miles on it. The stroker is soon to be installed, but for the time being I want some juice to it. I was always raised to go BIG so I want atleast 125 shot. If I can go bigger so be it, but I would rather not sling parts through my new SS Hood. My question to yall is which kit would best fit my application? The bottle will be placed in the spare tire compartment, with a remote valve opener. I would prefer a purge valve as well, but limited on funds to do a bottle heater & maybe even the remote valve. So far I've been told ZEX, Nitrous Outlet, & Nitro Dave.....

Re: Nitrous Experts/ Suggestions please!

I went with HSW's LT1 single nozzle kit for my thirdgen car, and modded it to fit since its designed to bolt onto the LT1 intake/motor. Worked great and is very budget minded. Nitrous outlet/nitro dave arent bad options either.

Re: Nitrous Experts/ Suggestions please!

If the motor is in good shape and well taken care of, it could handle a 150 shot. most kits are tuned abit rich on 150 shots to be safe but you dont get the true power out of the shot. My 150 jetting ran 10.0 to 1 air fuel. I jetted the fuel down to a 75 shot fuel jet with a 150 shot nitrous jet and air fuel was up near 12.0 to 1 and it ran like raped ape. Picked up a solid 3 mph from 124 to 127 with a best of 128mph. thats a pretty good gain in power. I went 118 on motor and only pick up 6 mph on a 150 shot isnt that good. Its all in the tune. Leaned it out and picked up 10mph which is better but some guys picked up more from a 150 hit than that.

I'd start with a 75-100 shot just to see how the car reacts. You should get a wideband o2 sensor and gauge and watch what happens, or take it to a dyno first to see what it reads there. Then up to a 150 hit.

That was how mine was too. I talked to NOS about it and they told me in stock form the cars would lose allot of fuel pressure when spraying. So they had to put a huge fuel jet in to make it up. So if you have an upgraded fuel system there is not a big pressure loss. So then the jet is way to big. Took me a little bit to get it right too.
