Fuel Pressure - Procharger D1SC

Question on fuel pressure and fuel pressure gauges. I'm running a D1SC procharger on a 383 stroker motor with a C&S blow thru carb. I have a boost reference fuel pressure regulator that I have the base pressure set at 7psi. I have read for every 1 pound of boost your fuel pressure goes up 1 psi as well. I currently have a autometer fuel pressure gauge that is straight off of the regulator to set my base pressure (0-15psi), but I'm looking to get a gauge to be able to view the fuel pressure while I'm driving to see what the fuel pressure is doing once boost is applied. I almost bought a mechanical gauge that I was going to mount under my cowl hood, but the gauge only goes up to 15 psi, so technically, if I'm at 7 psi for my base and @ W.O.T. (running 10 pounds boost) I should be @ 17 psi, right? Which I would then need a gauge that reads 0-30 psi instead of 0-15 psi. Has anyone else run into this same issue? I really dont want to spend $230 on a electrical gauge that reads 0-30 psi if I dont need to.

I seen those, but I'm looking for something that is 2 1/16" or 2 5/8" that I can mount and matches my other auto meter gauges (pro-comp ulta lite). Basically looking to get some verification on my estimated fuel pressure @ W.O.T. with 10 pounds of boost.

Re: Fuel Pressure - Procharger D1SC

0-15 will work if you dont plan on going over 10psi boost. AS long as the gauge pegs, and your air fuel is still good under boost, then you know you have atleast 15psi fuel pressure and still good on air fuel so things are working fine.

Re: Fuel Pressure - Procharger D1SC

Thats just it, once I get comfortable with my current set up, I would like to get somewhere between 16-18 pounds eventually. This is still a "fresh" motor, I might have 1,000 miles on it since I rebuilt it last year. I just didnt want to jump off the deep end with just installing this procharger this spring.
