Planning a Build With NOS and Boost
well I am planning a Build soon For my Firebird. i bought the Car in wrecked and Rough shape for $800, since it was wrecked and two body panels and the Hood have to be replaced anyways im gonna build it up to a Formula Clone.
But now the On topic part..
I am wanting it to be as much of a sleeper as a Firebird Formula can be. i am gonna build a 350 up and run Nitrous, and a Supercharger i want it to look as stock as Possible from first glance then when your finally in it you realise it is no ordinary Formula. so i want things to be as hidden as possable. as for the Nitrous where is the Best place to mount the Bottles where you will never see them? i was thinking under the panels in the hatch where the Spare and jack used to be. (i currently use the space for spare coolant, Oil, Funnels and my Full tool kit.) but im open to Better Sugestions. and can the rear Defog Butons be rewired to be used as Nitrous Buttons or at least used to Prime the System and Activate the remote bottle openers?.
i have never Built a Nitrous motor or a Boosted motor, all my previous have been N/A i have always been able to brag im all throttle and no bottle but now i just want a little street Toy with Nitrous Not wanting to go all out just enough to Destroy tires at will and have decent HP boosts when i need it most not all the time. what things should i start with for the Base Engine Components with plans of Full Nitrous system and a supercharger runnning high boost. i was gonna do a Stroker 383 Cammed and Carb, but the NOS page says it requires EFI and a Few People have told me not to stroke if im gonna Boost. is there any truth to this?
