Re: had the procharger rebuilt... and then i gave up on the 3rd gen

aww I missed the code 59 stuff haha. I remembered a thread over on their site that had a repin from 165ecm as needing to repin the iac differently. I had a 730 so didn't need it. once I sorted the idle table out, it ran better on 59 with green top 42s than I ever got 8D to run. since then Rbob seems to have sorted out the manifold temp logic for 8d thou. so that was probably what got me. ever time I got in the car. it ran different and af was off.

anyways.. just incase someone might stumble across this old thread in a 59 search. as for you fuel pressure, that's very odd. I did have a 255 in tank years ago that would get hot after a long idle in traffic and even thou the pump stayed running. it would bearly run, then stall and die. only to cool for a few minutes when you got it to the side or the road and run fine. only ever happened to my wife when she had the car. then finally one day 6 long annoyed wife months later, it did it on me when I had the laptop open and I saw the injectors pulsewith go crazy high. since the fuel gauge was under the hood, I never got a chance to see it.

just a thought

probably because you still had the external pump and it masked the failing prepump. end of the day theres a regulator and no matter how many pumps you have it wont surpass what the regulator is set for. PS why is the fuel pressure on your current setup so high?!?!

it's not. that was the initial pressure of the new pump before i adjusted the AFPR it's at 60psi

running good now. still need to tidy up a few things before the test drive.
