LT1 and LS1 Section?

Just a thought... since we have so many thirdgens that swapped over to LS1s and LT1s.

Are we going to make a LT1 and LS1 forum section?
I mean we have TPI, TBI, and Carb sections already.
I'd hate to see our knowledged a experienced swappers go to other website forums because we don't have a section for them here.

Thanks,

we do.

its called Engine Swap.

while that included every swap, its primarly dominated by the popular LT1 and LS1 swaps.

Ok, I guess...
Looks like an engine swap section.
For help and directions on engine swaps.
It was just a thought...

I see what you mean though. Swapping in an engine is one thing, but discussing modifications, upgrades, and aftermarket pieces are hard to keep track of in a forum dedicated to the general 'swapping of the engines'.

I'm not saying I want advice, because I don't.
But what I'm say is, in the interest of the Thirdgen.org owner, it would be nice for them to make a LS1 and LT1 section.
It would keep more of the thirdgen people that have completed the swaps to stick around.
I'm sure thirdgen moderators wouldn't tell people "if you want advice on mods go to a 4th gen site". You'd be losing some good people if you tell them go else where...

not really.

its not like if they leave, they'll never come back.. lol.

this is a 3rdgen Fbody tech board. for everything THIRDGEN.

they are MUCH better off asking the thousands upon thousands of LT1 and LS1 owners about engine mods, then the comparatively few thirdgen owners who have a LTx or LSx swapped in.
the only thing that wouldnt cover, would be swap specific, hence, the engine swap board.

this is only one board, it cant hold EVERYTHING...

besides, mention LS1 anything here... 90% of the people here dont know about the motor, so all you get is hearsay, and a bunch of "LS1s are badass" or "they arnt that fast" kind of bickering talk...

the best advice we can give is to goto a LS1 or LT1 board.. the cam, heads, ect dont care what car they're in... and powertrain, suspension and weight wise, the cars are the same anyway...

Wanna swap one in? Engine Swap. Wanna learn about the engines and modifying them? Go to a 4th Gen or other specific site.
